Starwars Disney+ edition vs Blu-rays and despecialized editions.

Has anyone else noticed how the color on the Disney plus Starwars look a billion times better than the Blu-ray version? They look a little faded and less saturated than harmy’s despecialized editions though. Since these are the colors on an official Lucasfilm release of Starwars, would these be the actual theatrical colors?

Would that be the best version to watch? Or is it still best to start with Despecialized versions then the I, II, and III 4k versions?

Despecialized would be first for me becuase it is complete.

4K77 and 4K83 are superb, yet we must wait a while for 4K80 to be finished and released.

When the Disney+ versions are released on 4K blu ray (rumours have it as Spring 2020) there may well be some projects on here attempting to ‘Despecialize’ them too.

Sorry - I am not sue what you mean by the ‘I, II, and III’ versions?

Hal 9000 Edits are very good Prequel Trilogy Fan Edits and highy rated on here, and there are many other Prequel Edits and preservations for them too 😃

rantony420 - on top of what Force-Abel posted above, TN1’s Grindhouse release of Empire may be worth a look at too.

For me, I prefer Despecialized too, not just because it is complete, but that the image quality for Empire is alos very high quality (as a non-expert just looking at the screen 😉)

Tighten Up and then turn it all the way up to 11!
