Got a better idea. Let's shoot them off to some distant world so that in the year 3000 a space-based delivery service can find them...
That might be my favorite Futurama episode.

Do you think anyone in the audience still cares enough about Star Trek to bother seeing an 11th film?
I went to see Nemesis in the theaters...

Not enough to cover the cost of production.

If that was ever going to be a deterent, Gigli would have never been made and the world would have been spared the knowledge of the phrase "Turkey Time".

Thankfully, I have been spared knowledge of the phrase "Turkey Time." And, by the sound of things, I don't want an explanation so please don't give one.

I'll see it if it looks interesting enough.

And I definitely won't go just because of one abysmal review; IGN gave Nemesis a 0/5 Stars just because there was no explanation for why Worf and Wes Crusher rejoined starfleet.

And it's common knowledge that there was heavy studio interference with Nemesis.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Not to mention the entire story was editted out of the movie...about 50 minutes of footage is one of the numbers I've heard.

Nemesis will be good as a Director's Cut, just wait and see...
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

Keep in mind that Nick Meyer knew almost nothing about Star Trek before he directed TWOK; knowledge of the franchise does not necessarily equate with good filmmaking. Look @ Star Trek V for evidence of that.

I know, I just meant that a director's cut might not be a good idea.

How about a "writer's cut"? The guy who wrote Nemesis also wrote Gladiator, and that movie delivered.

If a director's cut is better than the released one, WHY did they cut it anyway?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Studio interference. Same old story. For a classic example of this, see the movie 'Brazil', preferably the Criterion DVD set.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Ironic that you give "Brazil" as an example to Ric, don't you think?
