It needs have all the Star Wars movies I-VI.

Which, for all the movies, should include the theatrical cuts on Blu-ray, the Blu-rays, and the 3-D releases. For the Original trilogy have the theatrical cuts, the Special Editions, 2004 DVD/Blu-ray, and the 3D releases. For the I-III it souls have the  theatrical cuts, Blu-rays,and the 3D.

It should also include lots of Extras.

Please Lucasfilm, Fox, ILM,and THX the Star wars fans will Love this Set. Don't have the box set be a limited edition.

Thank you for making Star Wars.

P.S. Please don't use the GOUT as the theatrical cuts, do something like Harmys Despecialized Edition, just use the Blu-ray and Photoshop some things form the GOUT to delete the S.E. additions. And please fix some Color, and Crushed Blacks problems. Thank You.

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

For LucasFilms it'd probably be EASIER to just track down some original prints and scan those in.

sigh...

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Dear LFL,

If this project sounds too ambitious, feel free to download the open-source program called GIMP.  That way you could fix everything and save a pretty penny.  Can you believe Photoshop costs $700?!  So just "GIMP it out," so to speak, and undo all those little changes so we can enjoy the OT.  Then include it in your 40th anniversary set.  Oh, and for special features, please include a guide on how to make prefect otemeal.

Con mucho amor,

I bet for the 40th anniversary they'll just release all the Special Editions in 3D.

It will be us fans who save the originals.

It will be a hundred times worse than that. Lucas has the intelligence of larry the cable guy.

This still gives George a compliment because Larry does fairly well for himself...you may want to reconsider your insult.  LOL

What's the point of the Han shot first controversy if there are three Gringos in that shot alone.

That's how Lucas plans to fix Star Wars in the 40th Anniversary Set and make everyone happy forever.  Three Greedos corner Han in the cantina.  One of them shoots at Han, Han does a backflip to dodge it, and then, while still midway through the backflip and actually still upside-down and facing the opposite direction, he shoots all three Greedos.  With regard to two of the Greedos, Han still shoots first.

And if people still don't like it after that, Lucas can just say that just proves Star Wars fans are impossible to please.

Not a fan of more tinkering with the OT and selling these special edition iterations to people as the "final vision". But most SW fans will still buy anyway, because, you know, it's SW.

So not true, George's tinkering is the only thing keeping you talking about SW.  Your blood boils and you love every second as it's one of the few things which gives you life affirmation.

Pat, about Roman numerals.

I before V means one before five, therefore four.

I after V means one after five, therefore six.
