They don't exist, yet. I'm planning on doing Attack of the Clones first, whenever I can get my bloody PC to start working again.

Go ahead, insert joke here.

Is there any footage on the net NOT on the Episode I and II DVDs?

Actually, the "Phantom Edit 2001 version" is just TPM with all the deleted scenes reinserted, I believe.

Really? I had no idea. I'll have to track it down and see.

Edit: Wait, didn't you do the Phantom Re-Edit? I thought this was a shorter version of the film. I will have to take a look and see my copy.

Just get the disks and do it yourself, what better way to learn how to video edit.

The Phantom Edit is a Re-Edit of TPM. I'm not sure if it puts in any scenes, but what it's most famous for is completely editing out Jar-Jar...

Shouldn't this thread actually be called, "Star wars Ep1 and Ep2 With Deleted Scenes Restored?"? As of right now, it's a little misleading.

Neil

Well at least the reversed surround channels have been addressed.

He just got really, really, really EXCITED!

This all goes in the vein of my extended editions I want to do. Insert dialogue that was cut that is availible through other sources or to change the building Zam flies through back to the way it appeared in the trailer. Of course, as I said before, I'm still in the middle of a 6 month computer failure that has me very bitter.

If you want to do it yourself I think it's pretty easy to do with dvd-lab pro. You rip the movie and the deleted scenes to your hdd. Then in dvd-lab pro you chop them up in chapters. Then you can make a chapter play list. In other words you can make the chapters play in any order you want. You can put both versions of the movie on 1 disc so you can select in the menu which one to play the original version or the extended version.
Fez: I am so excited about Star Whores.
Hyde: Fezzy, man, it's Star Wars.

You guys are talking about THREE different edits.

- The Phantom Edit cuts out Jar Jar.

- The Phantom Re-Edit (not done by me, though I am regularly assosiated to it as it was only available in a 10th generation+ bootleg until I overlaid dvd footage on the bootleg vhs to make a watchable copy) dubs Jar Jar and cuts the film down

- The Phantom Edit 2001 version was done by a third person and just drops in deleted scenes. It was called Phantom Edit to ride on the coat tails of the original Phantom Edit.

PS: I actually made "Balance of the Force", "The Clone War", and "Fall of the Republic", a sort of 'alternate' prequel trilogy.

I've actually done these but not gotten them into circulation yet.

Wish someone would do an anamorphic version of the phantom edit. The other one has shit quality.

Did you reinsert the dialogue from the trailer as well? For AOTC, I mean?
