About a week ago Star Wars changed their Facebook cover photo. Colors are quite different from the Blu Ray, though I’m certainly not experienced enough to tell if they’re accurate to OUT grading, but to my eye this also looks ‘off’.

Edit: There also appears to be a lot more detail in the above picture. Zoom in the cockpits. Especially in the far fighter, the pilot is practically indistinguishable in the dark blu-ray picture but clear as day in the top photo.

Seriously though, I am curious where that image came from, regardless of whether or not the OUT is on its way. Why use images from a source other than the official blu ray?

Usually I would say not a chance to things like that, but given that it is Star Wars I imagine the “social media dude” is a huge fan, rather than a bored intern who could not possibly care any less about his job. Where did he get the source though, and what the heck is it?

It’s the new OUT blu ray release. It hasn’t been officially released yet, but it’s on Myspleen.

I took it from Star Wars’ original (correction: official) Facebook. Don’t know where they took the frame from.

They probably just wanted to make sure greedo was visible to people who didn’t have their monitors/phones set excessively bright. Otherwise you might not be able to see the train wreck that is the blu-ray still.
