Suprised that this thread didnt get more attention, thought it would have been in the interest of everyone involved with fan editing. I have been trying to work on the lost 20 deleted scene but poor results so far.
The Lost 20 is one of the deleted scenes I want restored the most. It provides some backstory on Count Dooku, a character who, as it stands, sorta comes out of nowhere. The problem with restoring it is less how unfinished it is, and more the fact that it feeds straight into another scene with the same characters and location, but large technical differences. Yeah, you can tell the CGI is not finished, but it looks alright, and the characters, being live-action are fine. No, the problem is mainly getting the audio and video to perfectly match the following scene. The background, the lighting, and the voices are all currently too different.

I have begun a frame-by-frame restoration of the scene with Luke and Biggs outside the Tosche Station. I’m doing 4 frames a day, and there are 4584 frames, minus the first two, which I’m skipping due to their extremely poor condition, so it should take me 1145 days, or 3 years and a bit. It’s a heart-pounding race between that and finishing Classic Doctor Who.

Well the sky was just a test for this one frame, but it only took a few seconds, so I could easily implement it into the rest. It’s the filth that’s time-consuming. I’m at frame 28 (the one I just showed you) of 4582. I did a whole 12 frames yesterday, though.

it would´n so great like andrea´s edit,but i give them a try.
my skills are very low.
i use magix and thats the only i can work with.
i put only the scenes in.
i´don´t make any clean up,color changes,sound fx or what ever.
i got a budy he is professional with after effects.
he try to make it watchable.
but he hasn´t all the time for work on it.
but we need some help with creating deleted scenes with pics for insert them
and all the audio things (insert sound fx,search missing dialog,add the score,clean up and so far…)
i´ve done ep 4 and work on ep 5.
i will only make the OT,no others…
i need a guide for insert deleted scenes too.
if someone like to help that would be great.

If you set the values reasonably low, there’s little detail loss.

Some auto color correction was used, and this is already compressed, so quality is not as high you could get.
Still lots of room for manual cleanup as you can see, but I hope it helps.
I’d suggest learning to use VirtualDub to get the best results yourself 😉
It doesn’t look any better. Maybe I did do it properly after all, but just couldn’t tell the difference.
