Well either way I certainly hope that the boxes shown on amazon are just stand-ins. That's some seriously bland packaging.

The slick move would be to do two different packages.

Have one shaped like Yoda's head to represent Jedi, and then one like Vader's helmet to represent the Sith.

The gushers will almost certainly buy two sets of the same DVDs just to get the unique packaging.

Oh god, you're right. Shhhhh, Lucasfilm might be listening!

LOL...Don't worry.

All you have to do is buy one, and download the other.

Simple :)

...yes, I know...you can't download a Blu-Rae box like that.
It was a joke.

...and misspelling 'Blu-ray' was also a joke.

I just have a feeling that it's going to be something like that Battlestar Galactica cylon head packaging that one could get when the original series came out on DVD.

Can't you just picture Yoda and Vader like this?

How about one featuring George Lucas's severed head... and the other one in the shape of his neck.

There should be a street fighter type game where you play as 80s George vs Present day George. You could have powers like 'story' and 'location shooting'

And present day George would have powers like 'cgi cabbage' and 'Green screen'

Also he could summon Rick McCallum to cheer him on and tell him how wonderful he is and how every decision he makes is brilliant.

It's a trap!

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

So Ken what's your take on all these people reviewing the blu-rays on places like Amazon without seeing them yet?

Should we make a new thread saying that Adywan's ESB:R is coming to blu ray?

My take is it's way too early to tell what the blu-rays will look and sound. The people on amazon.com that are giving them 1 and 2 star reviews have'nt even seen the finished product yet and are GL bashers. I am not saying everyone is but that's my take on the situation.

And the majority that are giving them five stars would be by extension GL gushers?

So to be a true fan of SW, you have to approve of the SE changes?

It deepens some like the SE changes and some don't but the answer is a hard one to ask some people are true star wars fans but don't like the prequels or the clone wars tv series. For me I like everything star wars even the EU.

So you are saying people who will click five stars on a disc set they haven't seen yet are 'true' Star Wars fans but people who will post less than five on a disc set they haven't seen are just Lucas bashers?

Yes but not everone the reason behind those 1 and 2 star reviews is because of the un-known if the original cuts will be in the set or not.

They know nothing about those sets, they could be the same abused versions of the SE (which would be bad for SE devotees too).
