It will be interesting to see the sales totals for the different box sets. In a just world, the Prequel Trilogy will have the lowest.
When the 04 DVDs were announced, did the original trailer show us anything new?

Honestly, compared to the prequels in that video, the OT looks really dull with its coloring. Not that it HAS to, its that STUPID transfer.Alexrd said:

Every time something like this comes out (despite my HUGE reservations), I always find myslef even more disappointed. I know it's coming, it's just... when it gets here.... it sucks that much more....

He's my go-to guy for home video news (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/). He helped get the word about the original petition out (in fact, it was through him that I signed it!). I think he used to hang out around here.Alexrd said:

Yeah, I’m not sure we can make that assumption from the preview video. On the other hand…I pointed out the "if they haven't done it in 6 years, they won't in 6 months" and that Lucas thought the LD master was good enough for the GOUT, why not use the 1080p master he already had.
I’m going to try to get more details in the weeks ahead.

Any news about sound mixes in BD release? 5.1 or 7.1?
I'm not 100% sure if the footage showed in the trailer is going to be present in the BD set, because the trailer for DVD edition showed the 97' edition and not the 2004. Perhaps it will be same this time.

I agree ofcourse there is little chance for changes, because Lucas think everything is alright, but still... maybe.

ok then, answer me this: If the trailer is no indication of what the blu-ray set will look like and that they have just used stock footage from the old releases, as some people have said, then why have they used the new transfer for TPM? Wouldn't that be the old footage too?

Agreed. I had hope that it was stock footage at first too, but those TPM parts look too great to be from the DVD.
