I agree with Hal, a purple saber version would be great.

Edit: Just watched it again, and it still gave me chills. We needed the visual representation of their help and this is amazing.

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about this scene:

I think the reason it falls flat is that there is no one behind these “ships”. Compare that to Endgame, where all the characters from the past movies have arrived, and it gets emotional.

I think what should have followed the first shot of all the ships is a brief montage of various characters we can say are in this massing of ships. The problem is I can’t think of many shots of just a character in a ship. What I have right now are:
–The Nemodians from TPM
–A Naboo Star Pilot
–A Mon Cala looking like Admiral Raddus
–The Mandalorian
–Lando and Chewie

I think this would make the arrival more emotional knowing all these characters from the past nine movies are here. But I’d be happy to hear any other suggestions for more characters to use.

The purple makes me want the saber she’s using throughout the film to be yellow. If she rebuilt Anakin’s saber the crystal would likely attune to her energy, as happened with Ahsoka’s when Anakin held onto them.

WOW! Just WOW! This what I always wanted in the original film, but I never thought the ending I envisioned in my head would be brought to fruition. hahah, and me! after the rumors, not seeing the ghosts in the movie disappointed me, but JJ left it perfect for editing !! hahahah. thank you very much friend!

Absolute amazing! I love the ghosts disappearing at the end.

The only thing I’m not sure of is the disembodied voice. I think this is Luke saying ‘reach out’ but I listened twice and it’s not entirely clear. Personally I’d lose this line, otherwise it’s perfect!

So just as a note…I would love to see a version either with Rey’s saber becoming gold or with crackly blue (like Kylo’s).

If you needed a generic, the interior shot from the Hammerhead in Rogue One could definitely be repurposed.

Oh and about your new clip you’re not fooling anyone, that’s clearly AotC, but the rest of the scene is good. You’re on the right track!

Yup! The shots from AOTC are of course just place holders for the moment, actually I found some promising footage from that cancelled 1313 game that could be used, and of course the DOTF concept art.

He’s more than just on the right track. He is steering the whole movie back onto the right track.

EDIT: I suppose you were switching subjects; thought you were referring to jonh material. Yeah idir_hh used the prequel material. I’s very difficult to match the look of that with the sequel trilogy.
