Just picked this game up last night. I played SWG for the first three years, and wanted to give this a try. Anyone playing?

Yes, so far, it is very "prequelly". Not a fan of the first three episodes or the EU, so if the game play and the community are not exceptional, I will not be with it too long.

I play on Kaas City as a Republic Smuggler. The game hasn't been prequelly at all for me but that's probably because I haven't tried a force class. Given that the majority of what we know about Jedi comes from the prequels I wouldn't be surprised. =P The other classes like Smuggler and Imperial Agent that I've tried have been awesome and not prequelish in the least.

Well, it's been two days, and I am now addicted. This is even starting to re-peek my interest in the franchise. After playing the story line a bit, I now understand why this game was set in the Old Republic times. It's holding my interest for sure.

This game destroys WoW in my honest opinion. I was in the beta and now I'm playing as well. What class(es) have you rolled? I've got a gunslinger? and a sorc.

So far, I am a Human Jedi Consular (lvl. 11). Just about to do a mission to get the crystals to build my first lightsaber. I may try making a dark-side characters this weekend. This game is so fun, I am upgrading my PC by installing an additional 2gb. of RAM and a new 3.0 Ghz processor (my current runs 2.25 Ghz.).
