Jesus the nostalgia is palpable… great work

I like the second one, but I think the blue bar on the front is too thick.

I’d do a third one with the George Lucas message on the back cover.

Second one, definitely. You may also want to darken up the X Wing and Tie Fighter on the back, possibly up the contrast a bit. At certain angles I can see the outline of the image.

OMG. THANK YOU for finding these! I can now ironically, complete the saga lol

Also love the trilogy covers you did! Now I can take all my discs and put them in one convenient case! Think I might do a 4th disc which will have both “From Star Wars To Jedi” and “The Making Of Star Wars” and if I can fit it “Empire Of Dreams”.

To help fill up that bit of empty space you could add a version that says “Also includes:” and have pictures of “The Making Of Star Wars” and “From Star Wars To Jedi”.

I’m impressed what you’ve actually been able to accomplish with MS Paint. I would definitely reccomend GIMP, but there will be a bit of a learning curve.

It is but I’ve just finished frankensteining my version together using GIMP and once you get the hang of it, it comes in handy.

Well I did some nipping and tucking of my own but I figured I’d post it here. It’s largely the same as what oojason has already done but I’ve scaled the cover to be more in line with the “Faces” dvd covers that were by the original creator of this thread.

Thanks! The base you made was already awesome, I just made a few minor tweaks is all plus I liked the George Lucas message so I wanted to include that.

So ESB and ROTJ will include the CBS FOX logo. The tapes list ANH at 124 mins, ESB at 128 mins, and ROTJ at 134 mins. However, they are not the special editions. . . so there’s a mystery.

There probably are some higher-res images of these somewhere out there by now - though I don’t know where, sorry!

So I am by NO means skilled or well versed in image editing. I am fairly decent with Paint though. I took these and cleaned them up a bit. This involved making sure all the black in the background (not part of an actual image) was uniform in color. I saw a bit of a haze around the Star Wars (ANH) starships and went through and cleaned that out as well to make it solid black. Hopefully these actually look alright, they seem at least cleaner, not necessarily better, than the originals. I have lots of love for the “faces” box set so this was pretty fun. I think my next step will be adding the logos (not sure where), the blu ray emblem (if I will be able to burn at 4k I will add the UHD logo), and “4Kxx” Let me know what y’all think.
