Star Wars Sequel Trilogy - Imaginary Concept Art Thread (Post art you want to see up on screen)

Since there's been some chat about what kind of ships the Rebellion may or may not have in the sequels I though I'd start off a thread to see where everybodies thoughts are.

Some want the ships from the OT exactly as is (X-Wings, Ties, Stardestroyers etc) and some want something radicaly different. Others like me want something in between.

Here's a few designs I found that I think would look great in the new movies. They're different enough but still capture the feel of the universe of the OT...

Whatever happened to that ship/pod shown in the build up to the filming of TPM in the BBC documentary about Lucas?

It looked fab and never turned up in any of the films as far as I can recall.

----UPDATE----

This thing?

I spent minutes speculating based on that one ship.

That TPM concept looks like some kind of early VTOL. Have we seen a proper VTOL craft in SW before? Loved Faridah Malik's one from Dues Ex...

Maybe a bit too overtly Manga for SW though.

Oh those happy days when we hadn't a clue.

Would be neat to see Lando's ship Lady Luck on the big screen. It appeared in a level of Jedi Outcast and it's luxurious on the inside, befitting it's owner.

Wow, I think I never saw a picture of this ship, and yet, this looks almost exately like I imagined it.

^ This guy would be great to see in EpVII (Whoever he/she was)

^ This thing is badass!

^ Great how this has a sleak organic shape put has that OT feel down perfectly

^ Abandoned concept for older Anakin in TPM (WTF!!!). Waste not want not this costume would be nice for a Skywalker/Solo kid

Isn't that just a rear shot of Sebulba's podracer cockpit?

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Yeah that picture is pretty much it for me. I love how Star Wars turned out (obviously, it's my favorite film, more or less); but ever since I saw that art, I've always thought how amazing that movie would have been. Let's do it J.J.

This brings to mind that Nazi planet from that Star Trek episode.
