I am thinking about making french subtitles option under the english cards.
I know I could/should have rendered an empty screen then have an option between english and french...
But I think that having the scratches and noises added ON the english text is better, so if I really wanted to have the same effect on a french version I would have to reframing the entire movie once again. Franckly I think this french subtitles at the bottom of the page are enough work.

Now I have a better quality version of EP1, it's done.
Work on EP2 is done, I am rendering it by now.
The 4:3 cropping and "camera movements" are sometimes a bit different than in the test DVD. I also added a few vignetting effects on some shots and change some text cards as Ripplin told me.
Work on EP3 can start.
I guess my will to have french subtitles will delay a bit the release date, but not much.

Oh yes. I did see that a bit on the test version, especially during closeups of the actors sometimes. I appreciate how well thought out it is. The editing goes far beyond color and filter changes.
My two favorite audio moments are still the way the sound syncs in the pod race (perfectly timed ending!) and the way that "Lapti Nek" is introduced. :)
Episode 1 and 2, final versions done (this time I really hope, because it starts playing with my nerves!).
Episode 3 framing is 11% by now. There will be some mistakes to correct for sure, but all in all the work is going fast.
I think I will not make french subtitles after all... Maybe later will do a full french version.
I need to reframe some shots of episode 2 (not too long). And this evening I'll see if episode 3 is okay.
EDIT: well I will give "aegisub" a try, to make my french subtitle. Maybe It will be good for what I want to do.

I did not make the french subtitles though... too much work, and I already made a french DVD of the "clean" version, if some are interested in.
"Star Wars 30's serial edition, DUSTY version Part1" will be available in 1 or 2 days (I still have to make divX versions, too)

Sorry, have just seen a problem in ONE of the dialogue cards in this "final" version. It shows twice...
I guess I have to wait 2 or 3 more days before sharing this version. All that for ONE f..... card. Pfff, "it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n' Roll" as they said...
Some few "before/after" pictures to wait for the release, this week end.

Well, I've gotten to watch the first 30 minutes of the DVD on Demonoid, and I have to say this is fantastic! This has to be one of the best, not to mention most creative, Star Wars fan projects I've ever seen.
