Thank you, glad you like it! :)
Thank you, glad you like it! :)
Currently helping seed this on Demonoid. You managed to condense AotC down to about half-an-hour, and for that alone you deserve quite a bit of credit. ;)
The only thing so far that I've found jarring was using "Jedi Rocks" in the AotC bar scene. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing that it was used, it's just that it's been so long since I've seen the SE of Return of the Jedi that I forgot it even existed, and so when it came on my initial reaction was "The hell is this?! BLEEGGGHHH!!" I've since recovered, however. :P

He he, yeah I know this song is not a fav among Star Wars fans. Well, I don't like it much myself, but I Thouht about it as a little joke inside the movie. I wanted a song like if a band was playing in the bar.
As I use the cantina song in EP4 and Lapti Nek in EP6, the only song left was Jedi Rocks, and it fits not bad at all at the end of the scene!

Thanks, in fact I knew that EP3 had to be quite long, so I manage to make poor ep2 the shorter possible.
PS: in fact I also use Jedi Rocks in Ep6 at Jabba's palace, but not in the dance scene. And you'll probably not notice that it's Jedi Rock because it is the end of the track (that is not on the SE I believe) which is a bit better. You can listen a bit to this part in my ep2 when the Jedi get out of the bar.
PS2: thanks for helping on demonoid.

I can't remember if you used both songs, or just the more famous, first one.

Both. I jump from one to the other.
And, well I mispelled, it's not exactely a song, it's just music. I think Jedi Rocks can feel a bit out of place also because it is the first and only time we hear a voice in my edit part1. Until Part2 where we can hear Laptic Nek and the Ewoks SE celebration song (but even this song is much like a choral)

Same difference. ;) And most boy bands are not bands at all! Haha.

I was wondering what that was. Now I know! :P
I'm taking an film history and criticism class at university this semester (just an intro class), but I'm thinking about either sending my professor a link to the torrent of this edit or just burning him a copy of the DVD if he's interested, since we've been discussing silent films for quite some time now in class. Would you mind at all? I'm trying to get more exposure for fan-edits in general, and I thought this would be a good example of how fan-edits can be a viable art-form in and of themselves.

That would be cool. :)
Very cool, Nanner! Hope you're enjoying the class. I think I would like that.
I'd like to check out the torrent of the new dirty version, but I'm not a member of the 'noid. Can anyone help me out?
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
^I'll PM you an invite.

Thanks to you and Nanner Split!

I'm probably gonna have to wait until next month to get Part 1. Bandwidth issues and whatnot. :p
The torrent for part1 can't be find anymore by searching on demonoid. I don't understand what happened.
I still have the link to the page, but it is said: no seeders, no leechers. (but 2 hours ago they were plenty of them...)
Could this possible that Demonoid deleted this torrent without warning me?
EDIT: okay, it works now... still don't know what happened, demonoid technical thing I guess.
^Phew! ;)
Things are rolling merrily along on Part 2, folks. I've already submitted final corrections/suggestions for Ep. 4 and will have the Ep. 5 and 6 test divxes soon enough. Shouldn't be too long before the whole shebang is finished after that, I dare say. :)
There's another Silent Film version! :o
Check this out: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/sciencenotfiction/2008/12/10/star-wars-taking-a-long-time-ago-very-seriously/
Haha. I love it! I just wrote to the guy that made it and gave him a link to this thread and offered to send him copies or just tell him where he can get them. I hope he replies. :)
Yeah, I know this one, it's fun!
On youtube or dailymotion you can find several little silent Star Wars movies. I saw one of the PT that was quite fun too. With dialogue cards like "Okay, let's get married!".
The "Dusty EP4" framing is loooooonnnng. I don't know why it's so long. But it works.
I have e-mailed TMBTM the final changes for 5 and 6 now. :)
First picture of ANH, dusty version (5% red tint will be added to the picture, just like the PT trilogy):
I had to restart the framing, so it will take more or less 2 days to finish ANH.
Just for the fun:
"
done with t3d conveter (unregistered as you see). I have R/B glasses, and I think it works not so bad. But it works only with single .bmp pictures.
I wonder if there is a premiere pro plugin that can do this effect. I'll see.
Blue: left eye.
^HA! That's pretty good. I saw that and thought 'I think I still have some 3D glasses somewhere.' I went to my room and they were in the first place I looked. :p It really does give a little bit of depth to it.
Yeah, I tried with the premiere pro 3D glasses filter, but it only duplicates the same image (or use the real "second eye" picture if you have one).
This little T3d converter software kind of stretch the blue picture a bit, like a wind coming from the left. And once mixed with the red one it gives a cool little 3D feel. Still "pseudo 3D" though.
Episode 4 DUSTY version is done (I just need to watch it to avoid some little mistake maybe).
I'll launch the framing of episode 5 tonight.
Speaking of 3D Star Wars I continue my search for a methode to (maybe) make one of my episode in 3D.
I think I could do it if I find a program that can automaticaly transform a normal 2D picture to a Depth map picture like this one I've quickly made on photoshop:
perhaps this program can do it automaticaly. I did not try it for now (not free):http://www.3dmasterkit.com/index.php?id=59
and here is an animated gif of the result between the original and a distorded one (made on photoshop using the depth map):
Maybe I should have painted Vader a little more white so he would be more close to the viewer. But you should see very well the 3D effet on the dead bodies at the bottom of the picture.
Of course making the depth map by hand means I can only do "layer 3D". I wish a software can do better result. I know some folks worked on a program using pixel recognation of the focus and the shapes to make depth maps out of 2D pictures, but I did not found a free program that do that sort of thing for now.
I also opened a thread at http://www.faneditforum.com/viewforum.php?f=20 to discuss this matter.
