I’m currently watching ORF1, it is definitely the BR version. Sorry guys!

I’m pretty sure it will be the BR version, the listed times seems to be the BR times accelerated to 25 fps (PAL standard).
Otherwise it could be the early theatrical source (that ORF1 already broadcasted in 2014) as schorman is guessing; anyway, there is no other source such as a 35mm telecine (AFAIK).

I’ll try to capture the .TS stream (unfortunately, my IPTV provider streams ORF1 at 720p, not 1080p).

The Blu-Ray version is about 130 minutes when played at 25fps and the theatrical is about 127. Excluding the credits, the Blu-Ray is 125 minutes and the Theatrical is about 122.

Playtime is listed as 125 minutes, so they are likely going to play the Blu-ray version and are just not including the Credits in the time calculation.

Edit:

Shoot! missed the last post. That’s a bummer. Thanks for checking

Greetings,

Long-time lurker newb here. Back in 2015 someone had downloaded the Cinemax HDTV 2006 D-VHS captures,
I was curious if these were available somewhere?

Star Wars 4 A New Hope.ts
Star Wars 5 The Empire Strikes Back.ts
Star Wars 6 Return of the Jedi.ts

Kinda curious to see these versions as I already have Schorman’s HDTV project.
Thanks…,

Hello guys, I wasn’t here for a long time, but I’m back now.

Are the itv broadcast complete with all commercials? If yes, I would like to have them all. But shouldn’t the movies on itv be in DD5.1 and only switch to 2.0 for the commercials?

By the way, I’m from Germany and could provide you the censored version of Revenge of the Sith from Pro7 and a rere Kabel1 record, both from December 2020 in 1080p with German DD5.1 from DVB-S2 HD+. I recorded them without commercials, but could replace them from a lower quality SD source. I think I also have the last German HDTV broadacast from Sat1 from 2022 from HD+. And I will record the original Trilogy from German Disney Channel, they start next week and show one every Thursday and repeat it on Saturday.

https://www.fernsehserien.de/star-wars/sendetermine

I have some IPTV records from Hungarina channels Moziverzum and Mozi+, the 2019 versions with new Hungarian localised opening crawls, without the voice overs, that were used in all other Hungairtna veresions. Only A New Hope used the 2011 version, but with the localised opening crawl from 2015. I need to check if they’re complete and edit them. I recorded them with VLC player on my PC from a suspicious IPTV provider, that has a bunch of different channels. The picture should be a less compressed 1080p, but the audio is just a heavily compressed stereo in Hungarian language.

Many years ago, my aunt, who lives in Hungary, also recorded all the Star Wars movies from Hungarian RTL Klub, from SDTV with DVD-T2. I think those are the 2015 digital collection versions in original widescreen, also already with the Hungarian localised opening crawls, excpet for A new Hope, which is the 2004 DVD version in low quality and cropped to 16:9. But all have high quality 2.0 Hungarian and English audio.

Did you edit out the commercials? If not and they’re complete with all commercials, then I would like to have them.

Higher resolution copy its available from Italian Canale5 broadcast? Nice find! SECAM-recordings?

I saw a topic here on the forum, years ago, about the Italian factory VHS releases, I think some samples were shared, from the digitizations made of these first exclusive (rental or retail) releases of the films, in the form of 3000kbps Xvid AVIs. (From ANH, there must have been samples uploaded.)

The German SAT1 trilogy recordings are also quite missing, I’ve never seen ROTJ like this. There is a Silver Screen (1990 release?) VHSRIP of it, from this part.

^ Yeah, it would be great to find working links for the Italian official VHS releases - some intriguing box set releases for those sets over the years too (especially the 1995 ‘3-in-1’ box set)

The Original Trilogy box set releases on home video tape: 1988 to 2000… - Italy

It would also be a great find to have those German 1992 SAT1 TV Trilogy recordings available again - loved that old white box set they released for it…

Hello,

would it be possible to get these 1997 SE Broadcasts?

RaiTre - Italy (Rai Tre); Italian DD 2.0 384kbps
notes: Italian subs (in picture) for alien dialogs; aspect Ratio cropped to 2.0:1; EP IV has few garbage frames; EP VI missing few frames; completely different color grading from any other sources but 2004 DVD menus.
EP IV - 1xDVD5 4.11GB
EP V - 1xDVD5 4.15GB
EP VI - 2xDVD5 4.96GB

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you post a few sample pictures or videos of these TV shows??? I have DVB-T recordings from RTL KLUB from 2018/19 (I think up to 7 or 8 episodes), but I prefer VHS recordings from the early 2000s. All of them, including the PT/OT trilogies. There is also a VIASAT DVB-T recording (I think AXN also showed them around 2015), from episodes EP4-6. Is there a “pirate?”, I think an unofficial, IPTV-only copy from after 2020, but the ANH MP4 file is unsaveable. (The atom-chunks or something from the end of the file are missing.)

It is a 4.53gb mp4 file - and also looks to be a decent quality image.

Description: 'Another one for all of the Star Wars geeks out there, here is the TV showing of ‘‘Return of the Jedi’’ as broadcast on NBC Sunday Night Movie on March 19th 1989, with all the original ads included. I am aware that there is already a recording of that specific broadcast on MySpleen, but I believe this one should be of much higher visual quality.

You can once again thanks GoBlue1977 for providing the raw footage for this upload and making sure it would get shared on the Spleen. I did my usual post-processing on the footage to make sure to give you guys the best image quality possible.’

Ukraine official dub for the 1997 Special Editions of the Original Trilogy - as shown on 1+1 TV through 2004 to 2007.

The following info has been kindly provided by the superb team who made this project available: Old TV Elektron youtube channel…

Regarding 1+1 TV Channel ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1%2B1_(TV_channel) ), unfortunately, there was no dubbing during the initial broadcast of the trilogy in 2002, albeit a top-notch multi voice over beloved by the viewers both back then and now.

The movies were that of 1997 Special Edition.

Thus, within 2004 - 2007, 1+1 TV Channel broadcast the movies employing three voices:-

  1. the voice of Volodymyr Necheporenko IMDB (though on IMDB the transliteration is as in Russian; therefore, it should be the way we’ve put it). He voiced Darth Vader, Master Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the rest of the older characters.

  2. the voice of Andrii Tverdak IMDB. He voiced Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, C3PO and the rest of the younger characters.

  3. the voice of Olena Blinnikova IMDB - She voiced all the female characters.

Specification

Size - 12gb total (SW: 3.9gb | ESB: 3.95gb | ROTJ: 4.14gb).
File Format - MPEG.
Source - SECAM; VHS / home video taping (no adverts during the films)
Image - 4:3.

Some additional info on later Ukraine audio dubs for the Original Trilogy - from Old TV Elektron youtube channel…

In 2009, ICTV TV Channel ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICTV_(Ukraine) ) broadcast the movies with respect to 2004 SE DVDs.

The voicing was done by studio TV+ commissioned by ICTV.

The voicing cast is bigger:-

  1. Andrii Fedinchyk (again, we provide transliteration the way the proper names initially are spelled in Ukrainian, not Russian) https://www.imdb.com/name/nm7624180/ - Luke Skywalker

  2. Mykhailo Zhonin https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2698289/ - Han Solo (our unsolicited opinion - an excellent choice for Han)

  3. Liudmyla Ardelian https://www.imdb.com/name/nm8819218/ - Princess Leia

  4. Anatolii Zinovenko https://dubdb.fandom.com/wiki/Anatoliy_Zinovenko - Obi-Wan Kenobi

  5. Mykhailo Voichuk https://kinobaza.com.ua/persons/mykhailo-voichuk - Darth Vader

  6. Mykhailo Tyshyn https://kinobaza.com.ua/persons/mykhailo-tyshyn - C3PO

  7. The following actors were also employed Yevhen Pashyn ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0664542/ ), Borys Heorhiivskyi ( https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1227626/ ), and Yurii Kudriavets https://kinobaza.com.ua/persons/yurii-kudriavets

In 2018, Episodes IV - V - VI were dubbed by LeDoyen Studio (https://www.ledoyen.com.ua/en/about-us) - on commission from Disney Character Voices International.
