Also, I find it interesting how I thought the only problem was the frame rate error, and then I found a bunch more issues. I give a lot of credit to my new computer for allowing me to actually see the previews (to some degree, I'm still getting a little lag).

Alright, so essentially, it's done.

Tomorrow I'm going to make a new logo sequence - I've already got it planned out and everything (it'll be in 1080p so that later I won't need to remake one).

Then I'm going to right down every change and adjustment I've made in a notebook

Next, I'll be recording an audio commentary track of me addressing it all.

Then I'll be rendering the DVD video and audio files, as well as a single WMV file.

Then I'm going to make adjustments to the main disc for the new commentary track.

Finally, I have to make a couple corrections to the cover and then they should be ready to go.

If people ask me for a copy, I'll gladly print the covers and labels, burn the discs, put it all together and mail it, I only ask that the person do two things:

1. Show proof of ownership of Episodes I-IV (a video or photograph would be fine) and a message stating good faith and that they do in fact own the films.

2. Pay for the supplies (printing, cases, labels, discs) and also the shipping. (I'll be making NO profit off of this, and I'm going to post complete breakdowns of pricing later (showing you how much the labels, cases, discs, etc all are so that you can chose if you want the Single Disc Edition (with or without Digital Copy) or the Two Disc Edition (with or without the Digital Copy).

We're almost there guys!

That money that you would be "happy to pay" isn't for my efforts, it would be to burn/print/label/assemble the DVD and if you want it sent to the UK, I don't mind that either, but you're paying for the shipping - haha. As I've mentioned before, I'm not making any profit off of this.

Can't you use a shot of one of the asteroid fields from either the OT or PT?
Maybe that would make it a little... I don't know... prettier :)

Haha, I like the look of that one more. I might even just remove the asteroid field and have the "A" fly in. Not exactly sure why the audio on Youtube got all weird...

Haha, you know it! By the way, as I'm prepping for the commentary track, there are a couple places where I won't have anything to talk about. Anyone have anything they wanna know or hear me address?

There are several shots in AOTC or ROTS that have asteroids realistically rendered. You can grab a big variation from there, separate them and then make them a particle system. You can also use some footage elements that will give a more real tone to the logo.

The A logo would be nice to be in an either black enviroment or to a more subtle tone rather pure white.

Thanks a lot for the input Angel! I actually considered grabbing those asteroids and other ones online, and creating particles out of them, but I honestly prefer having the default asteroid - now let me explain haha. PI3 was the first effects program I used - it was throughout highschool that I learned all the tips and tricks behind it, and I've left the default asteroids there as a reminder for me of when I started getting big into editing. I guess it's just a personal preference.

Also, I was going to use a black background at first, but I felt using the white would make it seem more crisp.

I know it looks unprofessional, but that's what I like about it, haha. It serves me as a reminder of how I got into editing and filmmaking.

By the way guys, I've finished taking my notes for the commentary track and have begun rendering the video file for the DVD.

Suggestions are wanted for what I can discuss during three moments in the edit where I don't say anything. Thanks again guys.

I'm kind of going on a limb here, but why not simply discuss why you used those three particular scenes, what interests you in them, and maybe expand on your thoughts about characters that appear in those certain scenes?
What quirks they have that appeal to you, or what sides to their personality that you wish GL would never have developed?

Audio and Video were both rendered yesterday, but I fell ill yesterday with a migraine and vomiting. I have class today until 6, so maybe I can record my commentary track tomorrow night, and if not I'll have to do it on Friday.

Try not to throw up while recording :p (sorry, couldn't let go) =D
