Alright. Just thought I'd throw my idea out there, haha. :)
The clip that follows the first title sequence explains every component from the intro besides what a Jedi is and I did that on purpose so that the first time we truly learn what the Jedi were is when Obi-Wan explains it to Luke.
The second text is followed by the opening scenes of ANH and frankly it worked back in the 70s when no one knew anything about Star Wars. I made things a bit more clear but honestly, in terms of ANH we've seen it work before so I'm confident it will.

Well I'm sure on any major torrent site once I release it. :)

Please remove my name from the credits, I get the feeling I haven't added anything to this thread worthy of such an honor.

Dammit man, I just finished rendering the 50gb lossless AVI file after 14hrs. Can it just be kept? Haha, I really feel every bit of input in this thread or any thread I've created in the tech forums to be helpful.

Well if you've already finished. Sorry I didn't say anything sooner.

Do you expect me to go back and re-edit it out?

You can add an annotation like youtube lol!

Well you'd asked if it could just be kept, so I responded as if you were asking. Sorry if that was sarcasm.

The way I see it, there are people in Ady's credits that did nothing more than make one post saying "cool" or something, so having you in this one is no problem whatsoever!
Is everyone in this thread going in the credits? O_O
As I've already posted before, these people are in the credits:

It looks like there should be someone after me. Haha. ;)
Haha, I just copy pasted it from the project file, bulletted it and then deleted the punctiations. So I've been trying to convert the video file and so far my external drive keeps disconnected. I'll try it again later tonight.

Cool. :)
Get any answers on your encoding question?
Yeah but now my hard drive keeps disconnecting from the computer because it's USB powered and my power supply can't support it converting a 50GB avi. I don't have money for another HDD that's AC powered or money for a new Power Supply (saving for a 3-4g computer) so I'm gonna try converting using my dad's computer tonight, if that doesn't work I'll try transfering the files to my sister's HDD and trying again!

ask for donations :)

Me asking wouldn't make it a donation, would it? ;)

I tried at least :P
-Angel
Haha ok well if anyone is willing to just hold off until I can at least try it without needing to spend money (I have plans B-Z). If they don't work I will only accept a donation on one three conditions:
1. You have seen the workprint or some scenes from the edit
2. You truly WANT to donate
3. You realize that I have nothing to give in return besides (hopefully) a sooner release date.
Again, no donations until I have done everything within my own power to resolve this problem!

Ok guys, good news and bad news. Bad news is that the lossless AVI didn't even render 100% as a chunk of it came out blank due to the hard drive disconnecting during the render. So it looks like I'll have to render straight to MPEG-II using Vegas.
The good news is rendering to MPEG-II with Sony Vegas is a piece of cake.
The thing that might piss off some people but something that most won't even notice: So the reason I was going with the original method was that going from 23.976fps to 29fps through pulldown fades your frame (to put it simply) whereas a complete conversion to 29fps will duplicate frames. The good news is that the human eye won't be able to tell the difference between the two unless you watched a bunch of DVD's with pulldown right before the edit. You might realize something is a little off for a few seconds but the human eye will readjust (which is why we have no problem with low framerates regardless of the fact that the human eye can differentiate frame rates until up to 100fps.) So in the first few sequence you MIGHT notice it slightly if you were watching a few DVDs before, but after the opening logos you should be comfortable (unless you're Clark Kent).
So this is the decision I'm going with. I asked the community for help as much as I could and I took whatever I could, but at this point I can't do anything beyond buying a new power supply, which I'm no longer considering doing as the difference between 5 faded frames and 5 duplicated frames is so slim. Also, I don't want to buy more hardware for my computer as I'm buying another one soon so it would be pretty pointless.
Just a send off, go watch AOTC, that has a direct conversion of 23.976 to 29 frame rate, not 23.976 with pulldown (on the NTSC DVD). I caught this while editing it. (The only difference between AOTC's dupplicated frames and this is that sometimes the AOTC frames are in random places (like a quick shot of Yoda during the chase scene, etc (yes I went through and patched up what I could))
So rest assured, not much left. I need to render the MPEG and then I will render one final WMV as a stand alone file (23.976 fps) to be released online for people to convert to their mp3 players, xboxs, ps3s etc.

Re: the usb powered hd, if you have a powered usb hub, try plugging it into that, or if it's already plugged into that try the usb ports on the back of the computer. Believe it or not, this solves this sort of problem very often.

You can output NTSC mpeg @ 23.976fps with 2:3 pulldown in vegas. You don't have to use 29fps for your output. when you select your output chose the profile "DVD NTSC" and then click on "custom" then in the window that pops up click on the "video" tab. Change your aspect ratio settings and change the framerate to " 23.976 + 2:3 pulldown" in the framerate pulldown menu on that page. You will notice that the field order box will now be greyed out. Now change the bitrate settings if needed and save the new profile.
I assume your Vegas project is set to 23.976 fps and not 29.970fps? Did you perform a pulldown removal prior to importing the video into vegas or are you working from a direct mpeg2 dvd rip?
I have the NTSC version of AOTC and it is 23.976fps with a 2:3 pulldown. An NTSC DVD will usually report the framerate as 29.970fps because the pulldown has been applied so you need to process the video first to remove the 2:3 pulldown or you will duplicate frame issues when rendering an output
