You could always use the newsgroups,a.b.starwars is pretty darn popular these days.
The reason I think this edit will be such a success is that I'm releasing the beta version of this so that we can all contribute out ideas and come out with a great edit. Also regarding the signed copies and donations, it's not my ego blossoming, as I've said before: These requests have been made for me to address them.
Also, I went to send it yesterday and I was ten minutes late, I checked out another place that was open a half hour later and I got there two minutes late. I sent it today before work. Didn't have enough change on me to send it by express. You should get it while I am away on Service.

So, when I'm ready to start uploading, where should I put this? El Diabloid? Bay of the Pirates? Tiny Nova? ;) And should we ask Boon about adding it to fanedit.org? (there may be some costs involved with RS, though, which ain't my problem. Heh heh.)
Also, A-M, should I write my own description for it, or will you provide one?

I've never used a newsgroup before and don't want to have to pay to do this, to be honest. :p

Story
The first film in the ten-hour epic follows Luke Skywalker as he first steps off Tatooine and into the world of the Force to become a Jedi while contrasting his father, Anakin Skywalker's early life and the beginning of the legendary Clone Wars.
Format
The edit will have scenes flashing back and forth in vectors contrasting similar scenes based on events and emotions. Some scenes will be slowed down to enhance their emotional impacts.
Music
The Renascent films will feature alternate audio tracks and other music pieces by composers such as; Hans Zimmer, Tyler Bates, Nicholas Hooper, John Williams and many more.
I'd go with "Tiny"Nova ;). Also they emailed me at fanedit.org for me to upload it there. I'd rather it not go up there yet (seeing how it's just a work copy) Ripplin, have you received and watched it yet?

I just got it recently. Haven't watched it yet. I was kinda thinking the same thing with fanedit.org. You could make a thread for it there (if you haven't already), but this version wouldn't be put up on the front page for download because it's not the final version.
I can put it on the 'nova, but I think you'd get a much better response if it was at the 'noid. Besides, I wouldn't mind getting my ratio up a bit there.
Could you do both torrent sites?

Not sure how, but I'll look into it. If anyone can give me a quick description of how to do so, I'm all ears.
If you put it up at 2 torrent sites like Noid and Nova, just make the torrent with both trackers, then up it to both.
So when I make the actual torrent file, I can add more than one tracker? Or are you saying I basically have to upload the whole thing twice? :p
you don't up the whole thing twice, just once, the torrent file itself will have both trackers,in uTorrent you can add multiple trackers.
Thanks, DJ. I'm either going to get uTorrent (used to use it, but not in a long time) or see if Vuze can do multiple trackers.
Ok, I think I got it. It's up at Noid and Nova now. I named it Asteroid-Man's "Star Wars: Renascent", so you know what to search for. ;)
You might wanna add this info to the first post, A-M.
Oh, and just to say, it worked very nicely on the PS3, but was a bit funny on the computer. (I can elaborate if necessary) I'm not worried about it, though, cuz everything acts funny on my computer. :p
Oh, I also linked to the thread and said comments and suggestions are welcome since it's a work in progress.
I hope it ends up moving faster soon, .07kb/s is very very slow,it is slower than dial-up LOL,I am REALLY curious about this,it has been hyped so big I just have to see it.
Dunno what to tell you about the speed. I have the upload speed set to 'unlimited', so...? I haven't uploaded a torrent in years, so I don't remember what it was like at first, speed-wise. Does there need to be more people leeching or what?
maybe it will pick up soon,we can just wait it out and see.
Well, I notice there are 3 peers now and the speed is up to 3-6 kb/s. We can take that as a good sign, at least. :p
yea,but 3-6 is dial-up speed LOL.
did you watch this yourself yet, what is it like,is it really rough, feedback would be nice,or are you upping it without any looking it over first?
If for some reason it stays crawling you could send it to me and I will up it to the newsgroups.
I had a quick look first. It is rough, quality-wise, but watchable. Nothing I can do about it. I plan to watch the whole thing soon enough.
ok
Ripplin did you read the read-me?

^Yes, it's included. :)
Ok, and did you find the mistakes I was reffering to? Also, I'm not at home so I don't have the read-me file, could you paste the contents into this thread for me? Thanks a lot for everything you are doing!

Im DL now....
The person your searching for simply does not exist
^^I haven't watched it through yet. I figured that since I said I have it, I might as well upload it and just watch it whenever. I'll watch it soon for sure! (I wanted to watch it on the PS3, but the .wmv file has no sound when I tried it on there. There's obviously something about the audio it doesn't understand. I'd update the firmware and see if that helps, but I can't cuz I'm uploading the torrent and don't have a router. Haha.)
Here are the contents of the Read Me file:
"Here is the list of changes that will be made for the final copy:
-The Opening Logo will be changed
-The prologue will be cut from the feature, retouched (to remove flashes of random frames) and inserted on the DVD as a Bonus Feature
-The bit of black frames when Anakin and Obi-Wan meet outside the club will be fixed
-Possible music changes to when R2-D2 approaches the canyon on Tatooine
-The music bleed during the clone battle on genosis will also be fixed aswell as the volume of Anakin and Dooku's last fight
-The fade out from George Lucas, the fade in to Asteroid-Man and the fading to the music list will be fixed. Right now it's just cuts."
P.S. Now that there are way more people on board, the speed has greatly improved, DJ. ;)
