Adywan = Adrian Sayce, according to the ANH:Revisited credits.

No idea about the others.

Can anyone let me know how to render this? I need the specifics. Frame rate, sample rate, filetype, etc etc.

That depends.  What was the frame rate/sample rate of your original project?

Without knowing anything, I'd say:

23.976 fps if you're working in NTSC; 25 fps if you're working in PAL

48kHz sample rate for the audio

And use a lossless codec of some sort for your master file (huffYUV as an example).  It will be freaking huge, mind you, but you won't lose any quality.

I keep losing the 5.1 audio though! What filetype and audio codec should I chose?

There I can't help you, unfortunately.  I've never worked with 5.1 audio before.

ID is good about responding quickly... Just give it a few. Trust me, I think we all learn patience in the fan-edit scene.

Besides, we don't want to take up too much of ID's time since he is fixing Indy 4.... I hear he's giving all the monkeys a pair of wings... That will fix it all! =)

I settled for WMV, 6 channels, 48Khz, 23.976 fps.  I hope Ripplin has Windows Media Player and not a mac with a refusal to download anything microsoft. The 700mb version will be avi though I think.

I'm hoping the PS3 or my other DVD player will play it, cuz I generally don't watch movies on my computer. I'd use VLC if I had to play it on the compy. I haven't used WMP in years! (I have used the far superior Media Player Classic, however) I have nothing against it, but it's useless to me. We'll see. :p

So, the test version will not be a DVD, then?

When I rendered it I can see the deleted scenes from AOTC, the scenes that IF and TJ did, the credits, my opening logo, and ANH  but AOTC keeps showing as black!!!

I think it's because AOTC's framerate is 25 but everything else is correct. How Do I fix this?

My name better not show up in the credits.  Real name or screen name.  I wasn't asked permission to use my name.

I DO NOT WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS IN ANY FORM!

Yeah...using real names in these types of projects?  Never a good idea.  If in doubt, you probably should've defaulted with the screen name.  I've already gotten one Lucasfilm C & D letter.  I don't really need another one.

Personally, I'd rather go uncredited, than have my real name attached to this.  I appreciate the sentiment, but it's your project, Asteroid-Man.  I haven't been involved in this hardly at all.  The credit should go to you.

I am concerned though by the fact you said you integrated some of the clips we posted.  I don't have a problem with that at all...but those clips aren't in full-rez.  Don't you think it would be better to just sort of make your own approximation and interpretation of those clips rather than integrate unfinished wmv clips with inferior picture and sound quality into your edit?

I have to say, I'm baffled by the description of your process here (or lack thereof).  A couple weeks ago you were having trouble ripping the DVD's.  Now it's finished?  Forgive me, but as someone who knows how these types of things work, it just seems a little strange.

But, on the other hand, maybe you performed a miracle...time will tell.

In this case, might want to ask Adywan about it, too. He gave ther go ahead on the trailer, but I haven't seen anything about a username/real name in the credits. His username will probably appear in the trailer anyway, so no need to put it elsewhere, really.

Alright guys, names are taken out. I was however going to put everyone's USERNAMES (not real names) under Special Thanks for those that help in someway. Whether tech support, lending me scenes, remastering ANH, lending me Disc 2, input on the scene and posters etc. Would you guys have a problem with that?

Again, if it's just special thanks there's no legal issues involved. I'm just really thankful for all the input, help and support you guys have provided me with!
