I’ve collected a good amount of feedback for my twilight of the apprentice overhaul but haven’t had much time to implement it yet!

That episode is going to go HARD once it’s complete and I’m very excited to share it when it’s ready 😃

Someone made an AI video right after the twilight of the apprentice episode of Vader having a brief discussion with the emperor. I wonder if this can be animated by someone to be incorporated into the Rebels series. I know that would be highly unlikely though.

Its definitely a cool concept! A fun watch for sure!

Although even if animated to fit the rebels style, it’d break the flow and feeling of the episodes ending.

My biggest problem with the video is the tiny little Palpy! It seems plausible that he’d talk to Vader like that… But I think it’s silly 😂

Everyone, get hyped for the Twilight of the Apprentice update! I’ve seen the draft version and it’s absolutely a gamechanger for elevating the content. Can’t wait for you all to see it too!

Also g00b, what do you think about replacing the dialogue of Mon Mothma’s speech in S3E18 (not sure where in your series that falls) with the speech from Andor last night? There’s an odd lack of continuity between them now, but I don’t think it would be too hard to bring the Andor audio into that holotransmission to fix that!

(The Force Awakens) Heirs of the Force | A Star Wars Legends Re-edit

(The Last Jedi) Fate of the Jedi | A Star Wars Legends Re-edit

(The Rise of Skywalker) Legacy of the Force | A Star Wars Legends Re-edit

(The Bad Batch) Cinematic Version | A More Mature Edit

(Kenobi) | A Star Wars Legends Re-edit

It’s gonna be great once I’ve given it that extra polish! 😄

Lucky for this edit, I’ve cut that episode entirely! And now the latest sets of Andor episodes, it really doesn’t need to be included at all. Overall that episode didn’t do much to continue the plot for the main crew and you really don’t feel it’s loss in my edit either! haha

I could be misremembering, but I thought the speech in the Senate was meant to be different than the speech that was broadcast throughout the galaxy. In Andor, I think it was Kleya who said that Mon Mothma was going to be picked up by the Ghost crew and they were going to “rewrite the story of Mothma’s defection and make it into a rallying cry”, which is the speech that was shown in Rebels. With that, there should be very little continuity errors because they were meant to be two separate speeches.

There are two speeches. Zeb is watching the one from the Senate with Imperial commentary on Chopper, this is the same one as the one in Andor.

The second speech is the one where she calls the Rebels together and is only in the Rebels episode but is the one they talk about having her make at the end of Andor.

As the speech from the Senate in Rebels is framed with Imperial commentary it is either the end of her speech we didn’t hear as the power was cut or an Imperial edit put out to try take control of the narrative. Either way, it isn’t a live version of what was made in Andor.

It’s also possible it’s a direct retcon between the animation and live action in the same way Hera is suddenly 50cm taller or Mon has a different haircut but it’s still possible to just see it as different parts of the same event with only minor mental gymnastics.

I honestly think some minimal crossover hereight just work.

Well here’s Tony Gilroy addressing it directly to guide your decision:

“In canon, she’s rescued by the Gold Squadron and the speech that they gave in the cartoon, which was a canonical show, is on that ship. And we were like, ‘Do I have to stick to this f—ing speech?’ In a really sneaky way, we’re minimizing what they did in Star Wars Rebels, but we’re keeping it consistent. We’re just saying you don’t really know the whole story of what happened.”

I’ve given the rebels speech more thought and I think it makes perfect sense without editing! (Not that it’s in my edit)

What we’re seeing in Rebels is the propagandised version of Mons speech. That’s why the speech is more about slandering the Emperor then defending the people of Gormon.

I’ll ignore Gilroy’s comments (that may be the writers reason for changing it but that doesn’t mean it’s be the lore reason). The Empire wanted to shut down Mons speech in the senate… So why would they rebroadcast it later? Because word got out about what she said, so they changed it to seem more like a baseless attack on Palpatine! Its 5D gaslighting on a galactic scale…

Thought I’d share this thought! Haha
