Unfortunately, Blackhawk, that's one of those things that's just not feasible for the structure of our edit. As much as I'd LOVE to keep Yoda a secret, he's in too many critical scenes in AOTC to be able to cut him out. Though I will say, I had given it a lot of thought....but regrettably, it's just not possible.

By "secrets", I guess I was mostly referring to the biggies...like Anakin = Vader, and Leia = Luke's Sister. Welcome to the boards, by the way. And the same goes to Guitarfan01.

And SkyJedi, I'm not sure why the Empire trailer skips and slows for you on YouTube. That's very strange. You're the first person to complain about it, you might want to try it again later. They might've been experiencing heavy traffic or performing maintenance or something at the time.

InfoDroid, I've loved your trailers, and I have one recomendation for you. I suggest that you only show partial flashbacks and add to the flashbacks to ROTS as the OT storyline progresses. It would also be nice to try to add red and blue tints with flashes to the scene where Vader witnesses Luke's torture a la The Crow. Just an idea, but I think it could work.

Are you holding off on seeing Jabba until "Jedi"?

I've always mourned the fact that withe the SE and TPM, he's no longer a mystery (when watched I- VI) and that CGI cartoon is awful.

Jedi Jabba has a realism you just don't get in EPI & EPIV:SE

i watched the empire trailer great job, even though the prequel footage felt out of place.

they trailer would not play in my aol browser so i tried it in firefox and it worked without jitters.

overall great editing job!

was that temp track music or are you actually using the gladiator, lord of the rings type music for the final thing?

This looks sweet!! The trailers are really well put together. The footage flows together better than I thought it would. Any idea when we will be able to see the whole thing?

I hope this project didn't die... it was by far the most promising edit ever.
I can't help but wondering if Lucas sent his ninjas to InfoDroid and TJDavis1138 to make sure they'd never beat the originals (or the original originals).

Just rewatched all of the trailers. They really are brilliant. I really want to see this project finished.

On a side note, does anyone know the first song in the ESB trailer? I recognize it, but I can't place it.

Since no update has been made in months, I am assuming this project is dead (or very hush-hush, or moving extremely slowly). This would have been an interesting take on the saga if ever completed...

I just read this entire thread, watched all the trailers and got done downloading the windu duel... I can't wait to not see this!

To everyone not involved, this is perhaps the most original edit I've ever heard of - sorry about your run in's with the media, they can be pesky. Something similar happened to me last year where I was contacted by Axl Rose's (of Guns n Roses) attorney via a C&D letter and then some radio stations in California who wanted to chat with me and put them in contact with Greg Gabriel (the attorney) - all over some stuff that will never see the light of day...

In any case I hope all of this attention is actually more encouraging than hindering - it just means more people want to see what you're capable of, and in some ways maybe even feel threatened by, especially if LFL was the one who tried to put the kibosh on it (which they unsuccessfully didn't not )

Yeah, reports of our death have been greatly exaggerated.

Sorry I haven't been too good at responding to people these last few months. Combination of technical issues and real-life stuff that had derailed us for a while. But we're getting back on track in a major way and now that Adywan's edit is finally released, we'll be going back and swapping out the footage that we've edited. It'll make a big difference in terms of continuity with the Prequels. Especially those Death Star plans. Amazing stuff that he pulled off. We all owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for what he's achieved with his edit.

I hope you guys don't feel like we're baiting you. We're really not. I'm embarrassed when I watch the trailers and they say "2007" and now we're in 2008. I know it probably seems like it's been on again/off again, which I know is frustrating for everyone, but if you knew how much time and effort we've poured into this thing... We're just regular guys with jobs and families who do this on the side, you know?

But, take my word... We're dedicated to finishing it, and we WILL finish it. It's just a matter of time.
