This is my opinion only, this is just how I feel about them, you guys might think differently I am not sure until you guys see them.

Btw, makes me think reediting a lot of the ESB music at the identical from the 1980 stereo mix, I noticed a bunch (a little bunch, but a bunch still) of pops or clicks that were precisely on those editing points on the film mix. That was very interesting.

dark_jedi, have you heard any differences between the audio files at those times Mallwalker pointed out?

I have not even worked on this set in a while, still waiting on to many things to even finish so it is on hold for now.

What footage do you speak of? that would be cool to add in deleted footage if that is what it is, I might even mess with some of that.

Damn the Blu-ray release is still well over a year away, I thought there were scenes available now somewhere.

Look again.  :-)  You might have to hunt back a bit, but the last time I looked the releases were still there.  So far there is G-Force's ANH created with the new script, and dark_jedi's old versions created with an older form of the script.

G-Force released ANH with the new script.  DJ's new versions are still in the making.

Dark_Jedi is using G-Force's new script.

The difference is that DJ's V3 DVD will include all of the following:

- Burned-in subtitles (for Greedo in ANH and Jabba in ROTJ), created by msycamore, that replicate the theatrical subtitles as closely as possible
- New 5.1 upmixes created by Hairy_Hen
- All official pre-SE audio mixes, minus the original 70mm mixes (this will include theatrical mono for ANH, theatrical stereo for all three films, and the 1985 and 1993 remixes for all three films).  This will mark the first time the 1980 ESB, 1983 ROTJ, and 1985 mixes have been synchronized to the GOUT video.

More information on Hairy_Hen's 5.1 upmixes:
     - ANH's 5.1 mix is an as-faithful-as-possible recreation of the 1977 theatrical 70mm six-track mix (using the 1993 and 1977 stereo mixes); LFE (subwoofer) channel is a hybrid of the 1997 SE 5.1 and 2004 DVD 5.1 LFE channels, edited to match the theatrical mix
     - ESB's 5.1 mix has one(?) badly-edited music cue fixed (making it different from the theatrical, '85, and '93 mixes) and the missing snowspeeder crash sound effect restored (missing in the 1993 mix); LFE channel is a hybrid of the 1997 and 2004 LFE channels, like ANH; it is not a 70mm recreation, but an edited upmix of the 1993 mix
     - ROTJ's 5.1 mix has one unused music cue restored (making it different from the theatrical, '85, and '93 mixes); LFE is custom-made from the 1993 mix (at least, I think so; this track was made before the other two, and is available on Dark_Jedi's earlier releases); like ESB, it is not a 70mm recreation, but an edited upmix of the 1993 mix

Yes of course it was done with g-force's script(the ONLY thing modified was the subs), I do not want to be a smart ass here but people can make there own encodes if they want, the scripts have been posted(except for Jedi), if you do not like what you see or something seems off to you, all I can say to you guys is, make your own.

Things can be a little different from PC to PC, also OS's could make a difference.

and as far as updates on this project, it is still the same as the last few, so this is now on hold for who knows how long, I am going to move all files over to an external and get them off my main drives since I have not touched them in weeks.

I posted this in the '97 SE "take 2" thread but some of this is relevant here as well.

Satanika is currently on vacation, and will be helping me out with the remaining 5.1 when he gets back.  So those should be ready in a about a week or so.  As far as I know that's the only thing d_j is still waiting on, right?  So these projects are very close to being ready for release now.

No it is not the only thing.

I am not sure what you give to satanika, but if you send him the 6 mono wav files I can encode that to 5.1, if that is what you send him, I am not sure what you guys do.

I do hope g-force is OK though, I don't think he has even posted in a pretty long time.
