I know, not another sample clip, but this 1 has DTS 5.1 sound, and is a little bit longer then the other's(175 MB)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/nr51tu

This is ready to be burned and tested on your Blu-ray player or PS3,I have tested on both.

until I figure out how and what to change on g-force's script this is still the way I did the other samples above, and this really needs to be tested on your HDTV,at least for me,when I look at these files on my PC or even look at screenshots,it does not do them justice,it looks a lot better in motion and on my HDTV(again this is my opinion I am sure others might disagree).

Does anyone have any idea what this frackin error message is that muxman keeps spitting out on me for ANH?

Probably due to a bitrate spike. It's different from the error you get when the bitrate stays high for a sustained period. Does Muxman actually complete the muxing? If so, I wouldn't worry about it, it will likely still play OK on modern players.

And the point g-force is making is that the GOUT stabilization script already includes upsizing as part of the EEDI2 anti-aliasing stage - the results are then downsized to 16:9 DVD resolution. If you want 1080p output it would make more sense to remove this downsizing stage and amend the Spline16Resize lines to produce your final desired output resolution.

That is exactly what it is,a darn spike, and no muxman won't finish,I tried re-encoding it and hoping that the spike would not happen again and it frackin did, shit! and according to the log it happens at chapter 34.

So darn strange, and this is the shortest movie of the bunch, well I guess I could re-encode this one at 6000 avg instead of the 6500 like the other 2.

and that is all well and good, but I am no expert in avisynth scripting, this is all still new to me to,so an example would be a lot nicer than everyone saying the same thing, everytime I alter the script I get fucked up results.

about to just step away from this for a few days.

Or try lowering the max bitrate instead of the avg bitrate.

LOL why in the hell did I not think of that,I will just drop that down from the default 9000 to 8000,that should do the trick.

Wait, are you ditching the DVD then and going for a AVCHD? Cuase the DVD was looking real good....

I played your DVD sample on my HDX-1000 NMT with a sigma chip and it seems to do a better job upscaling to 1080p then your other sample....sorry but I see halos in your HD sample and none on the DVD sample upscaled by my box.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

No I am not ditching the DVD's,but the AVCHD's will more than likely just be for myself.

Here is an ESB sample of the 3 different audio options I have,it is in VIDEO_TS form already to burn to a re-writable DVD'r:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/769jta

The first audio is the official GOUT audio, second is Belbucus 93 PCM encoded to DD 2.0 Surround @ 384,third audio is satanika's DD 5.1

file is 133 MB's in size.

I just watch this on my TV.

Damn, it looked pretty good in 16:9. My TV dont have any good zoom alternatives for the non 16:9 Gout so this was much better in many ways.

Was the video from the new Gout scripts?

Ah ok. It wasnt bad or anything, quite impressive actually that you could get that to look as good as it does, I just thought that the hardware I'm using does a better job....of course we all use different equipment.

I hope you understand that I'm trying to be as non partial as possible. There are enough "yes" men on here as it is.

I will look into that,if I PM you the script I am using for the upconvert do you have time to take a gander at it?

Looks like the upscaling script you are using assumes NTSC, so when you apply it to your PAL video, the aspect is going to be wrong. I can help, but I need to know if this is what you really want, or if my thinking is off.

OK here is an update on the DVD's of all 3 films, they are done,I am frackin with them NO more, here are the specs for the 3:

Star Wars - 16:9 anamorphic video,English subtitles(from GOUT),93 LD audio DD 2.0 @ 384 (track 1),93 LD audio DD 5.1 upmix @ 448 (track 2),77 mono Mix Dolby 1.0 @ 96 (track 3)

Empire Strikes Back - 16:9 anamorphic video,English subtitles(from GOUT),93 LD audio DD 2.0 @ 384 (track 1),93 LD audio DD 5.1 upmix @ 448 (track 2)

Return Of The Jedi - 16:9 anamorphic video,English subtitles(from GOUT),93 LD audio DD 2.0 @ 384 (track 1),93 LD audio DD 5.1 upmix @ 448 (track 2)

*access the audio options and subtitles from the button on your DVD player remote.

Here is what they weigh in at:

Star Wars 6.43 GB's
Empire Strikes Back 6.57 GB's
Return Of The Jedi 6.90 GB's

and all were CCE SP 6 pass encoded at an avg of 6500.

anything else you want to know, just ask away.

Now if I only had Verbatim DL DVDr's to burn test them before I do anything else with them.

Ofcourse I would LOVE your help,I really honostly think there is potential for a very nice AVCHD release,I just keep hitting snags and I have SO many damn test scripts all over both drives I forget where I am at,but now that the DVD's are finished I can start deleting some of those other scripts.

and not sure what you mean by this "apply it to your PAL video" is that directed to me? if so I am not using PAL video,I am NTSC only.

don't you think this has a pretty good chance of making a nice AVCHD project?plus this will give me the opportunity to use satanika's DTS 5.1 audio track.

Because its a custom DVD and not a fan edit I don't think Moth3r will allow DJ to say in open forum....but my guess would be the "usual places".

Ahh. Well that's a rule loosely followed anyway isn't it? I mean there's threads for fanedits here that say the edit is on Demonoid plain as day.

Yeah, but this isn't a fanedit, it's a custom DVD, which is why we can't say.

No. The GOUT doesn't even have enough resolution to make a nice DVD.

Sorry G,when I read this comment I thought that you might be interested in this, maybe I am just not understanding.

Because that is exactly what I want to do,I want to make a nice(or try to anyways) upconverted 1080p AVCHD.

perhaps an SL 480p AVCHD? then you can add more audio sources and have a better looking video than DL DVD.
