Both the MKV (14 GB) and AVCHD (8 GB) versions of Adywan’s ESB 1997 are already in full HD (1080p). The former is slightly higher quality, but the latter is suitable for burning to a DVD9 disc and playing in a standalone Blu-ray player.

The colour-correction used makes Hoth very white (i.e. the snow has virtually no blue tint to it), making this presentation rather unique.

Well, where can I find Adywan’s TESB 1997? Also, will Adywan be working on a ROTJ 1997?

Please refer to my post dated 3rd July on the previous page (also kindly quoted in full by ChainsawAsh for your convenience on 19th August) for details of how Adywan’s ESB 1997 may be obtained. It’s a very nice preservation and worth acquiring. Alternatively, if you have a Spleen account, you’ll find the MKV (14 GB) version there. Invites to the Spleen are sadly closed, so it isn’t currently possible to join if you are not already a member.

I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your second question. Adywan is currently working on SW Revisited (HD) and RotJ Revisited, so I suspect he already has his hands full.

Does somebody know how to acqurie the ESB and ROTJ 1997 SE versions in HD. The only Reconstruction/Transfer I was able to come by was Harmy’s Respecialized Edition.

Anybody able to help me?

As of right now, unfortunately no. The best Versions are either Harmy’s Respecialied or Adywans ESB reconstruction.

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

Incorrect. ‘ImBateman’ formerly Trillary Dump has done a ESB and ROTJ 97SE HD versions, both high quality. He mentioned the ESB one over at thestarwarstilogy site and he has a ROTJ thread here.

Hello there 😉

I’m looking for Dark_Jedi’s Star Wars Trilogy Theatrical Editions V1 or V3 versions. Are they anywhere available besides MySpleen? Unfortunately i don’t have an account for that. I hope i’m not confusing this, but this is Project Blu, right?

Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.

I’ve seen them on Usenet using Nzbking indexer. Here’s OT.com’s ‘Guide to Downloading Projects from Usenet’.:

For those who are interested, I got into contact with You_Too and using his original AviSynth scripts I was able to release the 1997 versions of ESB and ROTJ that Dark Jedi never got around to rendering out. They are available over on the TSWT Forums.

📍 A few available Original Trilogy Preservations - from a long time ago . . . . 📍

^ and if anyone has other projects by dark_jedi they are willing to share - I’d be more than happy to add them to the list. 👍

For those of you that have downloaded my releases of the unreleased Team Blu ESB and ROTJ 1997 SE projects over on the TSWT forums, I have updated them to replace the youtube rips of the 97 SE Trailers with LD captures and Cinema DTS audio, as well to include a variety of subtitle options, courtesy of schorman. I have also replaced the AC3 stereo audio with PCM stereo audio and removed the subtitles I included previously to reflect the content of the ANH Team Blu release better.

Thank you SonnyGFunk and You-Too. A nice looking release.

I was wowed by the colours on these renders, particularly ROTJ which looks incredible. I have no doubt that if Team Blu had released ESB and Jedi back in the day they would have received universal acclaim.

The theatrical ones in particular, I opened up Jedi after rendering it and was amazed with how good it looked.
