After seeing parts of Star Wars on Spike TV at a friends house I decided I needed to see the theaterical release and was hoping somebody was working on something like this. I'm very excited to find this project. I would love a Myspleen invite to check out what's been done.

But I also would be happy to help with current efforts. I work in indie film post production specifically digital cinema mastering. Have lots of software, expertise and render machines to contribute to the effort.

I'm new to this board, having just discovered it after watching The People vs. George Lucas. I am very intrigued by many of the fan preservation efforts I've been reading about. Some of the ones I'm most interested in are dark_jedi's GOUT V3 editions. However, they are not easily found online.

If somebody would be willing to send me a Myspleen invite, or direct me to another place to look, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished my own GOUT encodes in handbrake, converting to anamorphic and hard-coding the subtitles, but I know they don't look anywhere neer as good as the screenshots I've seen of dark_jedi's work. Thanks in advance.

That is my genuine reaction to this project. I finally watched the V3 DVD in full, after having only seen clips of it previous. And I was blown away. This doesn't show its poor source material at all - to be honest, You_Too and DJ have done quite a number on this! It almost looks like this came from a proper transfer. That's saying something.

At first, I was hesitant to accept the color pallet; however, it grew on me. While sometimes it was still a bit red, I know that's a limitation fo the source material and that's not something I can really fault the dynamic duo for - plus, I know they're aware of it. I'm very curious to see how Project Blu V2 turns out.

You guys have a new fan. Congratulations on such wonderful work! I can't believe what I just watched isn't even the final product.

You_Too's contributions weren't part of the V3 DVD release.  He has has put a lot of effort into the Blu V2 project which will be released sometime in the future, and that release will be even better as far as PQ!

Not entirely true my Friend, I did use someones script on this with color tweaks by me, but this new Blu V2 and video file for DVD V4 will just BLOW the V3 right out of the water, to me the V3 sux lol, but that is only because of what U2 and I are doing currently, but because of how good this version will be is why it is taking longer to finish, plus U2 and I do not want to get burned out, we both have other things to do as well and we also need time to play some Diablo III lol.

Plus I have been laid of work for 16 months when things were humming right along, well I just started my new job 3 months ago at Chrysler and we are currently rolling out the all new Dodge Dart, so I am pretty darn busy with that also.

Congrats on the new job DJ. From what I've seen the Dart looks like it will be a nice car, and a big improvement from many of their past vehicles.

I so wish I could buy all of these like they look in the op. can I get an invite?

Man oh man these look amazing, i cant wait for the Blu Ray versions so i can begin indoctrinating my small child when he gets to be a few years older...Muahahhahaha any chance of a myspleen invite?

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of Dark Jedis Return of the Jedi v.3. I want to see it very badly but cannot find it. If someone could send me a copy that would be great or any other info on how to find it. I heard myspleen was a source but I don't know how to use the site, i know an invite is required. I somehow stumbled upon the Ars Technica "Untouched is Impossible" article and it led me down the rabbit hole to finding this site.  Fantastic project guys.  Thanks a lot to everyone that contributed.  If possible i would love to be able to see the latest version of this.  Anyone have a myspleen invite I could use?  Thanks a lot.  

I would also love to see these.  I found this site through savestarwars.com and I am really excited to see how far preservations have come since the last time I looked into it (years ago).  How do I get into myspleen??  :)

Like everyone else here, I'm a big fan of the original theatrical editions and have been looking for a good version on DVD to replace my old VHS tapes. I've read many great things about DJ's V3 on many different sites. Any chance someone can give me a Myspleen invite so I can check them out?

I tried downloading the V3 on Usenet but I had a lot of trouble trying to burn them to DVD.

I'm not exactly new here. I've been reading all about the different projects for years on the site, but I've never posted. I'm truly amazed at the incredible work several of you are doing to preserve the theatrical editions of the original trilogy. George should be humbled at your fandom. He probably won't be, but he should. That said, I have several of your finished projects downloaded from other various (torrent) sites and would love to see this one (including the updated version when finished). I have yet to see it on any other sites for download so could I please get an invite to MySpleen? I used to be a member, however after attempting to remember you password I've been locked out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
