“Watch the intro video and try not to cry over the third #GalaxysEdge ride that got cut. (They just had to drop that shot in there!)” - https://twitter.com/nickytea/status/1157178346687479810?s=19

"Look at that beautiful beastie crawl.

Can you imagine riding on the back of a Bantha through #GalaxysEdge? The cancelled third ride had echoes of the People Mover and Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland."

Although this ride got cut I hope this happens in the future!

Little Girl Dressed As Rey From STAR WARS Gives Us Hope’:-

https://nerdist.com/article/little-rey-disney-world-star-wars

'Fandom can be exhausting. It’s an unfortunate byproduct of loving something so much–the passion that comes with that love can be both positive and toxic. The Star Wars fandom knows this quandary well; it’s full of some of the most loving, caring fans in the world, but the internet can be vile. That love can be on the attack on a near-constant basis. It can make you question this thing you thought you loved, and make you wonder if it’s even worth it.

But then something like this video comes along and you remember that Star Wars is a space fantasy about self-discovery, finding your place in the galaxy, and conquering your greatest fears. It’s a sandbox for escapism and imagination. It’s a place where you too can be Luke Skywalker. Or Han Solo. Or, if you’re part of this new generation, Rey from Nowhere.’

https://twitter.com/reysidaisy/status/1163219540484022272

'The video [above] has gone viral from a number of accounts and shows a little girl at the Star Wars Launch Bay in Orlando’s Walt Disney World. She’s dressed as Rey and greets each passing character with the Force. She encounters a number of familiar bad guys: Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Captain Phasma–all of whom merely give her a look and move on. But at the end of the line is Chewbacca and Rey, who greet her with affection; they even bend down to give her a hug.

Videos like this remind us what Star Wars still means to children, and how the galaxy’s heroes continue to inspire. It’s a good thing for any Star Wars fans–even the disillusioned ones–to see and take in. The fandom is as strong and as important as ever.’

I love this! My wife’s an author so we often do Comicon-type events with lots of cosplay abounding. I have to admit that I’ve teared up more than once at the sight of little Reys and Kylos running around. It does remind me of the innocence of Star Wars, what it has always meant to me, and what it will no doubt mean in the future. Cool post!

Very much a rumour rather than actual news - and to be taken with a large pinches of salt…

I’ve no idea if the guy is legitimate - or has a decent track record on these things. It could be for the clicks - actually happening - or just someone extrapolating on this article here:-

Jon Favreau on whether Thrawn, Mara Jade could be in The Mandalorian - EW website article.

Played by Bryce Dallas Howard? 😃

Han: Hey Lando! You kept your promise, right? Not a scratch?
Lando: Well, what’s left of her isn’t scratched. All the scratched parts got knocked off along the way.
Han (exasperated): Knocked off?!

I hope not. I really don’t like her in anything I’ve seen her in.

I’d pick Rose Leslie, personally.

And I thought Lucas slapping Han Shot First on a t-shirt was bad!

I’d post that classic image of Mickey flipping the bird that was everywhere in 1979, (ask your parents, kids) but a mod should have some decorum I guess. 😉

John Boyega Would Love to See Finn’s Axed ‘Star Wars’ Storyline Get Told on TV or Animation’:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/john-boyega-love-see-finn-144952512.html?

John Boyega openly criticized the most recent “Star Wars” trilogy for sidelining its characters of color, including his character Finn and Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose, so what does the actor think of the original storyline that got axed? A script leak for Colin Trevorrow’s scrapped Episode IX, titled “Duel of the Fates,” revealed Finn was originally going to end the trilogy by becoming a revolutionary and leading a class rebellion along with Rose on the galactic capital planet of Coruscant. The axed storyline would’ve completed Finn’s arc from defected Stormtrooper in “The Force Awakens” to the leader of an ex-Stormtrooper uprising in “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Trevorrow’s “Duel of the Fates” was rewritten by Chris Terrio and J.J. Abrams, and Finn’s revolutionary storyline was erased and redrafted as a much smaller role in what became “The Force Awakens.” Finn’s original storyline lives on in “Star Wars” concept art, which Boyega has seen and tells Yahoo he would have loved to see through.

“I think Colin Trevorrow was going to tell that story,” Boyega said. “The concept art in the ‘Star Wars’ book has that image of Finn with the blue flag, and you have the AT-ATs lined up with tribal marks, and the stormtroopers take off their helmets. That would have been sick. That would have been dope, hands down.”

Boyega said he’s a big fan of the Disney+ “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” (“Lucasfilm is doing very well with TV shows”), which is why he’d love to watch Finn’s original story arc get completed on TV (“If they could do it all in TV, I would love to watch it”). Does that mean Boyega would return as Finn? Not quite, although he expressed more interest in returning when pitched an animated series to complete Finn’s arc. “Animated? Yeah that would be cool,” Boyega said. “You could do it all from home.”

As for why he spoke out against the “Star Wars” trilogy for sidelining Finn, Boyega said, “I’m just trying to do what I was offered and I’m trying to fulfill my job. We all know that what makes roles so lucrative [are] the moments you give them. If Captain America doesn’t show out and show down and isn’t given the scenes to boost his representation, and to make him enjoyable for you guys, we won’t think he’s cool. Why shouldn’t Black characters and Black actors also fight for that same kind of representation?”

It’d be interesting to see a fan animation of this, I hope someone does something along that storyline one day.

I don’t think Lucasfilm would ever do it - unless re-written as Finn or even Lando rallying people to the cause of the Resistance set just prior to events of TROS? Maybe…

Good to see John Boyega not distancing himself from Star Wars too.

Seems like an excuse to sell more tat?

Unless they are going to give the option of buying the classic versions of the Original Trilogy on a modern digital format? 😉

But probably just selling more tat!
