Keep it up, I really liked your 1982 P&S LD transfer, as well as the rental VHS transfer by retartedted.
Any chance we will see the 1997 SE on the Spleen soon? It's great to see someone preserving the 97 SE trilogy.

With the size these are in raw format I doubt it but TeamBlu is getting ready for their ANH SE release so that might.
:)
It better be, or I'll be losing my marbles over this!
The pars for the '97 SE of SW are broken. They point to the archive but cannot repair it. The following parts are damaged.
298
406
461
581
I'm assuming you mean for Star Wars '97. I must be doing something wrong, but I always check everything twice before uploading. I'll either upload some more par's or the parts that you need. It might be later though because I have some things to do atm.
Luke threw twice…maybe.

Yes. Sorry. I should get out of the bad habit of not specifying which film I mean when I'm referring to SW itself.

No problem! Thanks. What do you use to make the pars?
Here is a temporary link that will last for 7 days. I had to make new rar's and then generate par's like the last time so let's hope it works. The par's are about 850mb.
I've been using 64bit multipar to make the par's.

It hasn't worked. The new pars view all the rars as incomplete; consequently, there are not enough pars to repair the archive.

Now, now ... patience young padawan. LOL It will all work out.
:)
You could try using par2cmdline to create pars.
Well, it seems nothing will work to recover the files. I'll re-up SW97 when I can. Is there a way to remove a post from the newsgroup?

No :-/

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Did anyone manage to download and extract the '97 SE of SW? It would be great if someone did so and still has the archive.
Also, it would be nice to have confirmation of ESB and ROTJ. I don't believe they will be problematic but still nice to know what I need to fix before moving on.
Here is a link to a 1.4gb encode(no sound) of sw97. The link expires after a week or two btw. It's raw other than the ivtc and compression. I'll still make the raw files available but I thought this would be a good way to check it out with a much shorter download time.

Where's the sound? BTW someone should sync the ac3 5.1 and stereo laserdisc tracks, as well as the theatrical DTS track, to that avi althor linked.
Done the 5.1, the stereo is causing me some problems. Anything you recommend, althor?
I have synced the ac3 5.1 track and stereo track to your raw encode, althor. I will try syncing the DTS next.
Having some problems with the stereo track and the 5.1 track. They aren't syncing correctly. I believe I will send you guys the links to the mkv of my WIP audio syncs via PM.
I have a 4TB HDD coming in the mail. This will allow me to keep the files for everything without having to delete them before moving on to the next raw capture post. So, maybe by next week I can start again with sw97.
Colton, I'm not a sound guy, so any advice I have for you would be ill advice, lol.

OK.

I am experiencing the same issues with the '97 SE of RotJ. The pars fail to repair the archive.
I've not tried ESB. To be honest, I'm not keen to download over 60GB just to be faced with the same problem.
I don't blame you at all. I still have the par's and rar's for rotj97. I am able to verify the files with the sfv and pars unlike sw97. I'll provide any files that you request.
On a related note, I believe I have discovered that it isn't my isp, usenet provider, or even user error. It seems that the program I'm using for posting is buggy in that it causes crc errors. I'm immediately switching back to the old program even though it posts slower. The program is camelsystem powerpost btw. I will be using powerpost 2000 from now on.

Try JBinUp.

Will do. Thanks.

I was gonna snatch these but I'm gonna hold out until you get things sorted. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with these. It is possible that your IP connection could be to blame ..... lost packets and such. It happens. It's great to hear that you are making sure folks get taken care of. That is very cool of you Althor.
:)
I'd definitely recommend holding off. SW/ESB 97 are going to be re-upped for sure. Don't even mess with the existing files on Usenet. I have switched to a fiber connection now so that should be more consistent I hope. I'm currently trying to see if I can get Chewtobacca up and running with ROTJ97. If that happens then I'll simply be able to upload what's missing/broken. In any case the next thing I upload I'm going to download myself and test it so I'd wait until I give the green light if I were you. Thanks for all the patience guys.
