I’m pretty sure i’ve got a russian TC of episode III! Pretty good quality but not dvd quality! The opening crawl is in Russian but the audio is in English!

Also will there be forms for Episode VII?

Thanks!

1. What is a TC?

2. The quality is lower than dvd quality, which means that unless this "TC" of yours is very special, the opening crawl might be the only important thing here.

3. What do you mean by "forms for Episode VII"?

4. Um...welcome?

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

It's that R5 that made the rounds of the Internet around the same time as the workprint and the "Do Not Want" sub.

I used to have a copy of it.

Is it that bootleg sourced from a film scan?

Myspleen would love it. :D

Thanks for the help everyone! For first time viewing should i watch the R5/TC or the blu ray copy? I've only got them 2!

Indeed, myspleen would love it. I just recently requested it, in fact. Let me know if you need an invite. ;)

Blu-ray for sharp videogame graphics, TC for a film-like (actually laserdisc-like :D) experience.

One of this forum's member has a copy of it. That's how I could get a look at it in the past.

Oh, I know it's not unique or rare. Lot's of people have it. Or, had it at least, since it was a pretty big deal when it was first released. Most people surely deleted it once better copies were released. Was just hoping to have it on the spleen, since there is currently no theatrical representation of III there.

P.S: Is your avatar a paramite pie? Abe's Oddysee was one of my favourite videogames when I was a kid :D

Sure is! They recently very nicely re-made the first game, if you haven't seen that. Has extra mudokons to rescue, and an addon extra mission thingy.

Super resolution is doing wonders for laserdisc quality sources. Sounds like this is the Episode 3 GOUT equivalent. I'd be curious to see this restored.

Preferred Saga:

3: L8wrtr
4/5: Adywan
6-9: Hal9000

All I have is the workprint of III that I snagged sometime back.  This TeleCine would be awesome to see.

Cheers!!!!

Probably because of the storage/bandwidth associated with uploading images.

Use imgur.com for stuff like that.

I have this as a two-part .avi file. 640x272 resolution, PAL.

Here are a few random screens. It's dark, but was pretty good for its time. Audio is good as well.

Looks decent! Is it... available anywhere?

So the audio is english, are there hard russian subs over it?

It would be nice to get it in it's original release format (dvd5 or dvd9).  I don't know much about it but what I've read here.

I'm pretty positive I once had this in full DVD resolution. I'm remember burning the iso back in the day. Sadly, I dumped it too when the official DVD came out. Wish I hadn't.

So "TC" is an acronym for "telecine"?  Geez I've been doing telecines for the past 10+ years and didn't know that.  You learn something new every day.

Yep, that's been a "scene" abbreviation since at least 2002 (when I first saw it). TS = telesync (tripod cam + direct audio), TC = telecine, CAM = duh.
