Any chance you'd share some editing experience of yours with the AG1980? It would seem that I might need some tutelage on using different modes and cleaning. I've never used mine in edit mode nor have I ever used NOR so I am going to have to learn.

I am so glad the spanish audio is being included, Tasjo... I am from Spain, and even though I know the spanish audio comes from a latin spanish dubbing, it will be great to watch the SWHS in spanish finally! Thanks a lot!!!!

A comparison, because why not. Nice job, but isn't it a little too bright? (upper one is v1).

I'm incredibly impressed with what I've seen so far, I can only hope I'll be able to track down a copy of this myself once all is said and done. To be honest, I think I enjoy reading about the process and the various equipment discussions as much as I do seeing the end result. Keep up the good work guys, looks amazing!

I believe that darkened picture quality of version 1 was a byproduct of the DVD recorder that was used for the first capture. No brightness adjustments were made for version 2.

There have been a few minor setbacks due to some color issues caused by the despot filter as well as the previously mentioned brightness issue, but I have finished authoring both discs and they are currently being uploaded.

I am uploading it to Mega, but my upload speed is slow so it will take a few days. After that hopefully someone will put it on Myspleen and a.b.sw.

Has it finished uploading? I can get it on MySpleen and a.b.sw.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

Just heard about this, and the screenshots do look pretty good... I can't tell, is version 2 going to have the commercials added in from another source, and if so, is there any chance it can be made to sync up easily with the Rifftrax audio commentary (which truly makes The Holiday Special a watchable classic)?

Disc one is over halfway uploaded but with an average upload speed of 25 KB/s it will still take a few days.

The commercials from WMAR are included, though the Rifftrax commentary would have to be reedited to fit due to the special presentation intro.

Here are the details of version 2:

Disc One: Main Movie

- Disc size: 7.02 GB

- Video bitrate: 8000 Kbps

- Audio bitrate: 384Kbps

- Two playback options: With WMAR commercials and Without WMAR commercials

- Audio options: English and Spanish (unfortunately I had to drop the third commentary track as it would not fit on the disc without compressing it or something else)
