I thought you meant the very fun card game. Anyway, I didn’t realize they actually had Daisy Ridley voicing herself in this. Very cool.

Meh.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I had not heard about this and my girls enjoyed it. Here’s a trailer:

It’s great to see Disney continue to focus on female characters. One of the best things about their purchase of Lucasfilm.

I agree with the comments. The animation is pretty lame and yeah, bring back Clone Wars.

Including every other comment complaining about all the female characters?

Why people waste time reading comments is beyond me.

JEDIT: Those comments were on the trailer rather than the Rey short, but still.

Daisy isn’t a great voice actor in this but it was still a fun little story. I wonder if she had done VO work before.

The Jedi are all but extinct.......

I might check this out at some point. I don’t think I’m the target demographic (age-wise, gender does’t matter), but I think it’s a neat idea. Nice to see 2D Star Wars animation isn’t completely dead, and that they aren’t just making cartoons for “boys,” whatever that means.

As usual, I don’t understand how people can get worked up about something so inconsequential.

Besides the low production value it was so dull and short, what was this for exactly?

Lots of kids watch Youtube videos. I believe this will also air on the Disney Channel.

Or just don’t watch it. I don’t watch “real series” like Rebels because I don’t have time for that much show.

The animation or being about women?

“Being about women” is hardly a new thing in SW.

“I have to say that I felt George’s group of six films had more innovative visual imagination, and this film was more of a retrenchment to things you had seen before and characters you had seen before, and it took a few baby steps forward with new characters.” - James Cameron about Episode VII.

Man, I’m actually really enjoying this. It reminds me of some of the less consequential stories from Star Wars Tales, which were set during the movies and had a more lightweight tone than most other stories.

Not enough people read the EU.

She voiced the main character in the dub of Studio Ghibli’s ‘Only Yesterday’

A very good reason to only watch this masterpiece in its original japanese version.

The first one was kinda lame. The second one was pretty good, and actually provided a payoff for watching the first. Hope they continue to improve, they might end up being something special.
