Help: looking for... Star Wars Extended Edits?

I know the point is to cut down the prequels seeingas how awful they are, but some people feel that their edit needs one of the deleted scenes reintegrated to better tell the story, it would be easier if everyone could start with an extended edition. Has anyone made these, I checked myspleen but couldn’t find any sign of such a thing, if noone has and noone volunteers then I guess I’ll chalk it up on my to-do list after all my Jersey films edits.

ADM did a very nice extended edition of ROTS. Not sure if he did EEs of the other two, but there is at least that one.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Are you talking about just an edition with the cut scenes put back in? This could be helpful. However, would this the same quality of the official DVD's. I'd be reluctant to start an edit based on a version that already was rippedcompressed and re-authored. Maybe that's just me.

Yes, all I'm talking about is adding back in the deleted scenes, if you cut the extra unneeded audio tracks I'm sure you wouldn't be losing too much video quality, besides I know for a fact that if you use womble you can output to a higher size than what a dual-layer dvd would fit without ever even recompressing the video at all, this would be for the edits, or you can recompress it to actually fit on a dual layer dvd and there are people here who actually like the prequels as they are, so for them they might just want an extended version to watch, which the loss of quality wouldn't even be noticeable. Like I said if noone steps up to the plate sooner then I'll do it when I get a chance.

Since you asked, I might see if an extended prequel trilogy can be arranged.

Only problem I forsee is AOTC: if you keep all scenes, where exactly would the dinner and packing scenes fit in?

They're already out there folks. DVD Quality, redundant scenes and all. Everything but the wipes, which all my edits suffer from.

Ah, well then I'll stop editing my own. Thanks for telling me.

Do you mean you did another three edits, that only put in the deleted scenes without any other changes?
If so, where in AOTC did you stick in the family scenes without removing any other scenes?

I don't think they're awful. Here are the IMDB ratings for each movie:

PHANTOM - 6.4
CLONES - 6.9
SITH - 8.0

And here are the ratings for the originals (keep in mind there's no distinction here between the OOT and the SE):

STAR WARS - 8.8
EMPIRE - 8.8
JEDI - 8.2

They may not be as good, but they're not that awful!

None of us here like Lucas or Lucasfilm.
I have death wishes on Lucas and Macullum.
we could all probably get 10s of thousands of dollars!

I think the IMDB ratings for the prequels there are extremely generous.

Still tinkering with extended prequels.

Man, I'd sure never want to sit through an extended AOTC. The movie itself before end credits is almost 2 1/2 hours. Whoo, that's just too much for me. Even the normal length is too long. Makes me reappreciate that my personal edit is only 2 hours long.

ROTS is about the same, and I haven't tried TPM yet.

And I'd never want to sit through an extended Lord of the Rings! The movies are already way too long.

Good lord for once in all of history Boris said something thats not stupid, I actually agree with him about something, the LOTR movies were too damn long, and all that happened was a bunch of people walking, even the f**king trees walked in those movies.

LOL, look at my name and some of my other posts, I'm almost as big of a fan of Kevin Smith's work as I am Star Wars!
