I see Carrie is already on set.

 Zing!

btw Can anybody here who knows, elaborate on what the various words/numbers/squiggles mean?

Joseph Kahn, a director, broke it down on his Twitter:

My read on STAR WARS 7 slate: ND 6 bringing down two stops to a 5.6 stop. Probably long anamorphic lens on close up.

5.6 is a high stop for spherical lenses, but ok for slow anamorphics, especially if looking for more depth of field on close ups.

If shooting on 200 ASA film stock, base exposure at 11 might indicate a lot of light and it's an exterior.

Oops didn't read the Al40. Primo 40mm. That's a wide shot. 5.6 is a medium depth of field, not too shallow. Maybe for a shot with movement.

Or maybe the look is really old school deeper focus and not too shallow depth like they did on Star Trek.

Or its deeper focus for vfx reasons. Filmmaking is so endless in choices haha.

I'd love if they gave a young Jedi a yellow saber as a tribute to Luke's kenner toy.

I'd love yellow sabers, period (along with orange sabers, purple sabers, white sabers, teal sabers, red-orange sabers, red-violet sabers, silver sabers, gold sabers, etc.)

I too am all for saver color variety.

I did love that about KOTOR. Just the variety of saber colours was awesome. I don't mind them being mostly standardized among the Jedi Order in the PT or whatever Sith Order is currently around, but I like the idea that other colours are possible, just perhaps more rare than the RGB palette we see in the films.

At this point, I'd be happy with just blue, red, and green lightsabers as long as there were more shades of the colours available than there were in the PT.

And whatever they do, I don't want to see Glowstick Rave Episode IV (the prequels being the first three episodes of Glowstick Rave).

I have no idea what you're talking about. The prequels were filled with strictly professional and realistic due-

Mark learned his skills from the best in business, and it would be silly to see Luke fighting like that anyway. ;)

I, for one, can't wait until they open the stamp-covered package with a talking CGI Nermal inside.

Oh...

I can't wait to get to this part in ROTR.  The final cut of the movie will be 27 hours long.

If they're going to broadcast the location like that. I hope they're prepared for the fans that actually show up.

The Yuma location for Jedi was discovered without any fancy technology. ;)

They could be deliberately misleading people.

BTW, I created a thread to discuss this kind of thing in, rather than having almost everything about Episode VII show up in this thread.

Are you saying it's a trap? ;)

Ok,....this may be nonsense, but if Disney would like the Original OT released on BD before Ep 7 hits the cinemas......& I'm sure Fox would enjoy the revenue of that....there could be a deal with Fox to be included with Ep 7.......

That would be nice

I guess it all depends on how nice everyone involved is willing to be, and whether one party actually starts talking to the other.

If Disney was to tack on unrelated stuff like getting the cinematic rights to the Fantastic Four and the X Men, it could all fall apart.

It might just be wishful thinking, but this time this rumor "feels" right.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!
