IMO, Episode VII and the rest of the Sequel Trilogy should be completely PT-neutral. It doesn't have to contradict or retcon anything from the prequels, but it should never directly reference anything from them, either. So that means no featuring or mention of the Darth title, Rule of Two, "Padawans", "Younglings", midi-chlorians, PT-styled Jedi, PT-derived characters like Padme or Windu, etc.
I don't see how Lucas could have reasonably reserved such a right. Disney owns the Star Wars IP and thus can do what it wants with it. The only way Lucas could exercise that control is if he did not give up full ownership. That's a cumbersome prospect which would turn off any buyer.
The problem is what happens if Disney releases the OOT, despite some kind of clause against it. Ownership reverts back to Lucas? Disney has to pay a fine? There is simply no reasonable way to enforce such a clause once Lucas actually sells all his interest. It's simply contrary to the fact that Disney owns Star Wars.
I agree with others on Fox, there's no reason Fox wouldn't want to make a ton of money.

I'm sure they'll release the OOT if they can.
If the new trilogy is not a direct sequel to the existing trilogy from 1977-1983 and does not feature Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker should we boycott the new movies, i mean look how well the blu ray boycott worked,lol.
Lucas said that the Skywalker family saga was only 6 movies.

It looks like they are using Supershadow as a so called "insider mole"? So far he is the only person who is claiming that a clone of Vader will be making an appearance in the new films. Plus, it seems like he is taking credit for Episode 7 becoming a reality. You gotta love this guy. But it's scary that people really do seem to believe his crap.

They, along with other uk newspapers, used supershadow's so called "insider spoilers" when the prequels were being made, almost copying them word for word. Although they never named him it was pretty obvious to anyone who has ever read the supershadow crap. All they have done is trawl the internet for anything related to ep7, without checking proper sources before printing. The Express is pretty lame reporting nowadays.
