Star Wars - Episode VII - FACTS IN TOP POST

• George Lucas is meeting with writers to discuss story ideas
• George Lucas is not directing
• George Lucas is serving as a creative consultant
• Michael Arndt is writing and has a completed ~50 page treatment
• Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford have both expressed interest in being in the next film. Carrie Fisher has not taken a position
• Neither J.J. Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Zack Snyder, nor Quentin Tarantino are interested in directing

With such a tight deadline, I would imagine that the ST will be more CG-light than the PT.  That can only be a good thing.

Speculation!

I doubt Harrison Ford is interested, unless he dies in the first scene. I doubt they'd have anything for Carrie Fischer to do. But I could certainly see Mark Hammil as a wise, old Luke Skywalker. Chewie's a possibility, and the droids seem certain.

I have no idea what the plot will be. Certainly not what they've come up with over at The Virtual Edition.

So they are going to use Han Luke and Leia?  I really hope not.

Maybe Hayden's ghost appears to apologize to Luke and Leia like in one of the books.

The seventh movie, with a working title of "Episode 7," is set for release in 2015. Episodes 8 and 9 will follow. The trilogy will continue the story of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia beyond "Return of the Jedi," the third film released and the sixth in the saga. After that, Disney plans a new "Star Wars" movie every two or three years. Lucas will serve as creative consultant in the new movies.

Or wait, maybe it is his evil twin clone or something that must be destroyed.  Yes!  During the Clone Wars, Palpatine cloned HIMSELF.

Please, please just don't make me have to endure another Hayden Christiansen force ghost in EP VII. 

Can't Bob Costas play Luke? Saw him recently on TV and thought that's how Luke should look nowadays...granted his speech is all off and he's not an actor...

Episode 7-9: Luke chooses the dark side and HIS son must save him. 

Episode 10-12.  Luke's son turns to the dark side.  His grandson must turn him back.

Episode 13-15: Luke's grandson's nephew turns to the dark side.  His wife realizes that they are cousins 5 times removed. 

Luke would make a good sith now that he is older.
