Hello. I am sure this has been asked before, but I could not find such a case. Would you consider releasing versions of the prequels without the changed film name? I want something I can show to my kids and others without causing confusion as to the titles. I feel these edits are just vastly improved versions of the original films; not entirely different films. I feel they are perfect 1:1 replacements for the official cuts. Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words, but I don’t think I’ll do that. However, because I have lossless ProRes video and AIFF audio outputs now available for all my SW edits it’d be a relatively straightforward exercise for someone to splice in the original versions of the opening shots of the three movies.

Which release of the movies is your preferred source (to be copied from)?

If I understand what you’re asking for, I’d just splice in the opening shots from the official releases and then return to my edits after the opening shot containing the crawl is over.

4k or standard blu ray? Which did you start with, so I don’t have to worry about any color grading or the sort.

For TPM, official Blu-ray. For AOTC and ROTS, Schorman’s HDTV preservation. Although, official BluRay should be fine for all three; if the transition between sources takes place at the end of the opening shot I doubt there’d be anything different enough to be a problem.
