I didn’t go with that version of that line because the action climax has many other lines in her deep voice, so making that one change would seem weird.
I’d love to have the whole movie in her higher pitched voice but it seems virtually impossible to adjust pitch of just her voice and not the rest of the soundtrack.

It is quite possible to go into the audio channels and separate her voice to adjust her voice close to how she sounded in the trailers.

I don’t see why this is worth the effort.

I just think it sounds unnatural for a fourteen-year-old girl to sound like an older woman. It also makes her voice sound very robotic.

I tried. Certain scenes may isolate dialogue to the extent to which this would be possible, but they are few and far between. If there’s any reverb, it sounds very unnatural. And if there is any music or other sounds in the center channel, same story. It might work for an isolate line or two, but it’s far beyond my skills to do this for the whole film.

Very understandable. I find it very hard to isolate voices from the rest of the audio for any movie.

If you like the line from the trailer then it wouldn’t be too hard to just deepen that one if you don’t want to pitch up everything else.

That’s true. Aside from the sound of her voice, it’s really the delivery that sounds better. There’s some actual tension in her voice compared to the take used in the final film.

That seems like an eloquent solution.

What are your thoughts on the deleted scene where Qui-Gon finds Anakin and Greedo fighting? Have you thought about putting it in (not how l8wrtr did, but inserting it in the spot where Qui-Gon heads back into town to free Anakin)?

Personally a no for me. Since one, the scene doesn’t really serve any purpose but a “Oh hey its Greedo!” and two, importantly it is another example of trying to shrink the Star Wars Galaxy. All these silly cameos and connections just make the whole narrative small when we are talking about countless galaxies, planets, etc.

Maybe so, but it does show off an aggressive side to Anakin and would work as foreshadowing for his future.

I spoke about that in my commentary, and that’s why I don’t care for it.

And I’m not sure it’s advisable to adjust that one single line since we don’t have any of the others to use.

I agree with your comments, it is really too bad the deleted scenes were no in 1080 and polished up a bit. The Probe Droid scene does fit the narrative well since it shows why the two were running towards the ship for kind of no reason.

But yes, please, no Greedo scene!

Is anyone here aware that a Darth Vader breathing sound is heard at the end of the credits? It’s a nice touch and I think it could be added to The Approaching Storm. The only edit of Episode II that I’m aware adds in the breathing is Attack of the Phantom.

Seems like a waste of effort to me. Who’s ever going to hear or notice it? I never knew there was any such thing in TPM or any other SW movie.

I still think it’s a nice little touch George Lucas had added in. Quite honestly, while I strongly believe that post-credit scenes should not be added into the films, this is probably the best and closest thing we should get to a after-credits scene in a Star Wars movie.

I recall hearing that Ben Burtt was planning to use the Vader sound at the end of episode two, but decided against it when the musical score at the end seems to jar with it. I think it fits at the end of episode one, though, because we just finish out Anakin’s theme at the end.

V6 exists, and is on its way up into the Google Drive. It should be appearing later on the 'Spleen, too.
