So seeing as the Mega sites are down, does that mean the set isn’t available anymore?

I usually try to refrain, but why can’t you spend a little time reading the MF thread first?

Didn’t mean to piss anyone off. It’s just 53 pages long, and I couldn’t keep track of everything. Sorry for messing up the discussion or whatever.

Does anyone else hate that the main menu has the extremely loud and obnoxious trailer in the background?

Personally, I would have preferred the main menu being just the films logo in space with a signature song from each film playing subtly in the background.

Nothing against njvc, I think he has done a fine job. I’m just voicing my opinion.

i quite like it. however the volume can catch you off guard, and i can see it being annoying at times.

I don’t remember the volume being that loud.

it is loud compared to what you might expect a menu to be. i only noticed it when switching from rogue one to this, and still had the volume from the end of rogue one. The trailer starts with a ‘bang’ so to speak. not exactly a slow fade in. so yes, quite startling when it suddenly starts up. most commercial discs fade in i think.

True, the menu volume is a little loud. Despite that, the custom discs are amazing. I finally finished burning all the discs and put them in the Star Wars 2004 box.

Yeah, I think if he lowered the volume on the trailers or rescored the trailers some music like Binary sunset then it would work a lot better.

But this is just a minor complaint, for the most part, they are awesome!!!

Hi guys,

I’m new here and I don’t know where to post this either. I watched the DeEd’s for about 20 times now but I want the menu’s so bad on Blu-Ray… Where can I download the Despecialized Editions with these great menus? It would be awesome if somebody could send me the download-links… (Sorry for the bad English)

Thanks a lot!

I’m very sorry you shut down your MEGA account. I think I’m suffering a bit of buyer’s remorse when I bought one of those Despecialized sets on eBay. The only reason I got them was to see what the quality is like, just to try it out before I move forward with making a set of my very own (eventually getting rid of the eBay set and keeping my set). I never plan on reselling the set, but rather I’m giving it to a friend of mine. I wish there was another way of downloading your version of the original Star Wars trilogy (Despecialized, of course, with the cool menus and special features).

How do I get a set??

As a community, how can we address this issue of people just coming on these threads with another uninformed question such as this? They don’t even bother to do two minutes of research. Is there some better way we can educate? Obviously threads marked as “announcements” on the main forum page are ignored.

I’m getting really bothered by seeing a new post marked in a thread only to find it yet another question like “where’s the link”? It of course takes away from any real discussion about the material. Every time I get my hopes up that it’s another update on a project, or another perspective on the project, but no… just another flippant request.

Sorry, just ranting. I wish more of these folks would take some time to look around. But perhaps that’s just something old people like me do - familiarize yourself with any new group or community first before opening your big mouth. 😃

To answer your question, it used to be available by some MEGA links, but that is no longer the case.

We can’t.

Here’s a quick story, however. Someone new spent some time on the forum, posting and contributing, before asking me for help. I’m now helping that person.

IF YOU’RE NEW AND YOU JUST READ THE ABOVE SENTENCES, DO NOT BOTHER SENDING ME A PM. I WILL NOT RESPOND.

Ah who am I kidding, new people don’t read anything here anyway.

I wish we could do what some forums do and have the first ten or so posts of new users approved by moderators before appearing.

I am a new user and I totally agree with this idea!
