Your ink saver lioks damn fine to me.
(it looks better on a dvd case - honest!)
^ It should be quite easy to cannibalise or resize for a bluray cover or disc art etc for those of us stingey inksavers out there 😉
(and yes it is very shite / basic, stark, was done in MS Paint and probably doesn’t all line up correctly etc!)
Jetrell Fo recently found and sent me some of my quite, erm… ‘basic’ inksaver saga covers from some time ago (from 2005, I think).
Apologies for these…

Cheers Wazzles 😃
I put an extra bit of text on the back of the 2nd cover - and moved the spine text a little - so it all lined up a little better. It printed out well even in ‘draft quality’ settings on my printer.
The good thing about having a white background and printing on white paper or card is it can easily be changed and chopped for various sizes & formats etc 😃

I wasn’t happy with my old covers so I decided to rework them.

I decided against the Special Features section because it didn’t quite look right, plus it wasn’t on the VHS sleeve anyway. It wouldn’t be hard for someone to add if they wanted to.
Here’s the RapidShare download link - one ZIP file containing the full-res JPEGs of all three covers:

I was wanting to switch my Faces covers with something else and I like the retro feel of these.
Anyone still have these?

Cover for Holiday Special
And a disc print/label
does anyone know if someone has made art for a 3 disc trilogy case of the 97 special editions? its the only one im missing, and i’d rather have a 3 disc case than 3 individual ones.
Okay Itchy, here they are:
That’s TR-47 version, let me know what version you want, send me a PM with your email address and I’ll send the full files (PNG or JPG).
I’ve preserved the texture all the way through:
Any Chance I could get a PM of the hi-res copies of these??

As far as I know there is not a 3 disc case for this.
Not quite a dvd cover…
^ The USB Box above cost £8.95 + delivery, from here:-
(click on the link above for more pictures - it is also available in white - and you can also get the USB Box for around £5 without the option for a photo cover).
The photo window size is 8.5cm by 8cm - I added an extra 0.5cm all around for the ‘artwork’ to fit in nicely.
It’s a decent quality box - with a magnetic seal, and sponge surrounding to house the all important USB drive.
There is also this similar USB Box for £4.60 (plus delivery), here:-

I’ve also bought some of these bluray style USB Cases (5 cases for £8 delivered), here:-
link - http://www.leeds10.com/blu-ray-style-usb-case-clear-14mm-spine-with-insert-sleeve/
^ this case is the same size as many bluray cases (14mm spine) - is a good quality build - and the company delivers to many countries around the world 😃
See below for a couple of pictures of this USB Case being used with Rogue One & Harmy DeSpecialized Trilogy inksaver covers…
and I also found these smaller USB Drive cases - just over £1 each, here:-
link - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225772642396
For whatever reason there doesn’t seem to be a lot of USB Boxes or USB Cases available online, and the few that are have a minimum order of 100 or so from Chinese-based websites like alibaba.com & aliexpress.com, or US-based websites like shop.sunpack.com & premiumusb.com/ etc.
Some other USB Boxes are also quite expensive as they are often used by wedding photographers - and the magic word ‘wedding’ just seems to add £££s/$$$s to anything associated with one.
If you do come across any quality or cheap USB Boxes & USB Cases please post them up in here - thank you 😃
(when I say ‘made’ I mean found on google or other places, resized them, edited them and then added some text to them using MS Paint with a few Star Wars fonts 😉)
^ big thanks to Carbonite Solo for the The Last Jedi logo 😃

For whatever reason I do prefer your “simple” Trilogy Box set. Not that there’s anything simple about it. But it’s Clean design really brings out the titling and Impact?? I dunno…this set & Frank’s Arrow White Box design’s set the Bar for me! Oh & also Frank’s Lightsaber set…again Simple & to the point!
Excellent work. Now if only you could have a Holographic projection where the Front “Window” is when you lay the set down. That would be fantastic. Let us know when you got that one solved!
Quick note: On my “Box Set” I made the Stupid Mistake of putting A New Hope to Star Wars Title! Doh Rookie mistake! I noticed your’s just says the Correct 1977 Star Wars Only. Well done…clap clap
Remember, short controlled bursts.
I figured it out. The Simplicity is Elegant!

cheers mate - it’s quite fortunate as I can only do simple! 😃
I’ll let you know re the holographic cover 😉
FrankT’s white inksaver trilogy boxset is superb - I use a version of that for my own dvd boxset on the shelf.
Edit - crpl_hicks; could you re-post some links for your covers please mate? - I’m only seeing a pic of a cat where your quality covers were (links are down?)
Some of the work that has gone into the DeSpecialized boxset covers are amazing - ronwlim, one69chev, FrankT, phildesfr, detola, G E Predator, Starwhore, natedeug, EyeShotFirst, RoccondilRinon, tommyauck, Mjvmovieman, The Aluminum Falcon, coov, Morsoth, crpl_hicks, Spheretronic, Harmy himself and anyone else who I’ve forgotten to mention (many apologies) - all quality endeavours.

^ The back cover art is from Video Collector’s excellent http://www.swonvideo.com/ website

^ the image has been somewhat squashed a little by photobucket - and the cover does need some further work… 😉
^ very much based on the Dark Jedi’s covers for the ‘Dark-Saga’ collection.
This is a template for a generic 1992 Special Widescreen Edition set - no mention of the Technidisc release - and a blank slot left open for anyone to put their own text in… (maybe for the Mitsubishi or original sets?)…
^ based on AvP’s superb dvd cover and disc art, as seen in here - http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/STAR-WARS-Special-Widescreen-Edition-Technidisc/id/13263.

Not quite a dvd cover…
Thought I’d knock up (cannibalise off the superbly talented ronwlim and other folks on here) a very simple USB Box Cover for my Harmy DeSpecialised set…
the link to the ‘artwork’ - http://s192.photobucket.com/user/maplefootball/media/SW-Harmy-DeSETrilogy-USB-Cover-Final-1_zps8r3kiscu.png.html
.
The USB Box cost £11/$13US (you can also get them for around £5 without the option for a photo cover) from here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/USB-Window-Black-Artificial-Leather/dp/B00ULK8ITE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482502830&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+photo+box (it is also available in white) - though can probably be picked up cheaper elsewhere.
The photo window size is 8.5cm by 8cm - add an extra 0.5cm all around for the ‘artwork’ to fit in nicely.
It’s a decent quality box (looks a bit better in real life than in the photo above) - with a magnetic seal and sponge surrounding for the all important USB drive.
Should look decent on the shelf next to the various OT dvd sets etc 😃
.
edit - found some similar and cheaper USB boxes with photo cover around £5 (plus p&p) here - http://shop.photomart.co.uk/albums-photobooks/mounts/usb/59168.html
.
edit 2 - thought I’d add ‘Harmy’ to the title of my USB cover - it is his hard work afterall - and will hopefully also help differentiate from any other future SW USB sets I knock up. It’s a bit of a quick bodge job by chopping up some of the lettering from the ‘widescreen collectors edition’ text:-
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z28/maplefootball/Star-Wars-Harmy-USB-Cover2_zpssbwiwufv.png.
edit 3 - very generic black and white USB covers…
I like this idea of a USB cover! Can you do one for the 1995 version of the trilogy? I always did prefer the “Faces” set.

Nice one - I’ll try my best (I’m not very good at this lark), and am a little busy right now, but will give it a shot in the next day or so…

Loving the “Faces” inspired covers man! Maybe it’s strange but I just prefer these versions as the 1995 set was the one I was exposed to as a kid by my parents (more my mom than my dad as see saw the original Star Wars in '77).
I’m having trouble tracking down a usb box though as the ones linked to don’t ship to the states sadly 😦

No worries mate, glad you liked them - though a shame that company doesn’t ship to the US 😦

Think I’ll go for the $13 one you linked first, you think you could adjust the size of the new “Faces” one you uploaded that has “The Despecialized Edition” on the bottom? I’m sorry for asking and I hope I’m not being too much of a bother.

No bother at all mate - let me know the dimensions of the photo sleeve on that USB box (it may be best to wait until it arrives, then cut up a piece of paper that fits snugly in there - just to get the measurements spot on) and I’ll re-size the Faces covers for you.
It’s surprising how expensive these little usb boxes are - maybe because they are still not very common the manufacturing costs are higher than expected? Also, as soon as the word ‘wedding’ is mentioned in relation to them being used by wedding photographers the price goes up even further…
Maybe local jewellery shops will have something similar/useful in?
If anyone does find some cheaper usb boxes available to buy please let us know - especially if it is something like these below…
