Personally, I'd prefer another poster - but that's just me; never liked the official DVD covers.
Good job so far Falle.

I made some custom artwork for the official theatrical editions of the OT. Thought it could act as an excuse to stop lurking and finally sign up.

Very nice! I love that artwork.

Maybe you could make a version of the ANH one without the EPIV part, since it is the "theatrical" version.

I could and may do if i find the time, but i personally prefer the continuity of all three covers from their logos etc.

From the pictures available to me there wasn't one i really liked for RotJ. Found that image a while back, and as it's a painting i thought it'd pass off. Rekon it has an awesome atmosphere to it.

Man... I'm trying to find the gold Star Wars logo in high res format... is there anyone who has it? It would mean a lot to me if I could get my hands on one of those...

just for the record... I'm talking about this logo... http://www.futureofthebook.org/blog/archives/star_wars.jpg

nope... They don't have the same kind... It really has to be that style so I can make some new DVD covers!

Thanks! That's the exact same logo I was looking for! The only problem I have is that it's a bit blurry.... ahh well, it suffices! Thanks Adywan!

I made an "archive edition" of all six Star Wars films. Don't ask me why I called it "archive edition" for I have no idea. I was thinking of doing a vertical rectangle picture on a DVD cover for quite some time, and now I did!I ALWAYS use the SAME posters all the time, I wish I had more pictures to work with... but those posters are all I've got. Don't worry... If you want a different picture on it, I can do that easily...

It's just that I don't have high resolution enough pictures to work with..

Thank in advance.

Keep up the great work guys.

In response to you (but also everyone in this thread!) I've been a part of a few great cover forums over the past 2 years, and by far the best quality stuff comes from a little place I've made home at called Customaniacs. I'm not trying to pimp them out or anything but there are literally DOZENS of Star Wars cover sets in professional quality, but the only downside is a download fee (which actually isn't bad at all considering it's only to pay for the bandwidth and to keep the site up)

I've been doing custom covers for a while now and I've been itching to do some Star Wars covers and now I have a chance, and when I'm through with them I'll make sure to upload them here for everyone for free

edit: btw, by far the best covers on that site are from guys called SithAngel, DarthVong and moviefan2k4 - all excellent sets!

Hey Lord Phillock, I really like those covers, not bad, not bad at all.

thanks, man! Appreciate it!

It would be great if those covers I made were Digipak (what is it?) and had the black outside stuff be the "cover", so you can slide it off and reveal the entire picture on the package!

Actually, that would be called a transparent "slipcover", akin to how they packaged "i-robot" - digipaks usually just refers to bookstyle cardboard packaging, akin to the new Ozzy CD or Metallica's St. Anger album

that's what I meant... exactly!

but the package inside would be Digipak... akin to how they packaged "X-Men Collection", "The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition", "Predator 2-Disc Special Edition", "Alien Quadrilogy", etc. ... or better yet, how the individual DVD boxes look like from "The Ultimate Matrix Collection".

Does anyone have a link to coov's "leather" covers. None of the links work and its frustrating looking though hundreds of pages of posts to find no high res images. If anyone could help me out id appreciate it. If they are no longer up but some one could email them to me at trujillo@cox.net that would be awesome.

Nice job! Flash I think I have the leather covers on my HD somewhere.

Awesome, If you find them let me know because I'd love to get a hold of a copy. Is there ant disk art that matches that style or is it just the cover art. Doesn't make a huge difference but I would be interested seeing what they look like if they exist.

I'll take a look for them when I finish cleaning and upload them to my photobucket.

Coov made different leather versions.. hope this is the one you wanted. They were slightly modified for my own purposes. I made them into slim case covers. I also made inserts and disc labels in the same theme. The disc labels themselves come in different versions because I had some trial and error to get dark and blue saturation levels to match with my particular printer and printable dvds. Feel free to use them or not.

I was actually looking for the red ones with the large faces and no print on the front, but I must admit your rendition is very good and I will likely use it, I had been thinking about using thin cases and you made it happen. Thanks for the files.
