Star Wars Continuity project (ALL 3 Films) (Released)

Hello All,

I have been privately working on face lifting project all of the BD 1080p SE releases.  I Finished IV, V, now working on VI.

I am doing this because I am the Father of 3 kids, and as sometimes painful as it is to watch the prequels, I am enhancing the special effects of the SE releases so my Kids will not think there is a generational gap between all 6 films (even though of coarse there was!!)  I am proficient with Adobe After effects, and my goal is to release a high quality (almost loss-less), 1080p with DTS HD audio.

With the SW episode 7 around the corner i felt that it was important that someone further restore the versions we have today to a more crisp level. Not so much as to undo the SE versions, just make them better then they are, with respect to Lucas continuity changes from the prequels. With IV, and V finished and residing on a private server, I am painfully looking to remaster VI…

I have very limited time, so I am sparsely working on this as I can, my goal is to have this out before December this year.  It will be released through the usual channels.  (and Yes I own the originals all six films paid in full)

I am aware of other fan edits out there, so I am rather new to this community so please be kind to some of the screen shots I have made from empire.  My main goal is to maintain the original artists artwork as much as possible but of coarse making the laser blasts and light saber quality more consistent with the prequels.

Nice to see your dedication, though I would never try to hide the history behind the films from my kids. Whatever floats your boat.

pretty much all laser effects impact shots explosions or flashes added (when needed) Most of the originals were really good..  Reworked the death star explosion, Han shoots first ect. I post some for  ep IV tomorrow. Pretty much the same for EP V, for the exception of some of the Tie fighter lasers as they were touched up in 1997.  It is interesting to point that they took about every shortcut imaginable to save money.  Adding these elements adds depth to the films. I had to work with original horrible matting (lightsaber effects) ect..

if your referring to that close up of Vader, believe me I spent 30 min trying to fix that, was the best I could do... It is what it is...
