Dunno about that, they never said what quality it would be or if it would be upscaled.
I HOPE it’s a re-render since the final product was all put together digitally and Lucasfilm would’ve held onto it. But it could just be an upscale similar to mine. If it is, it might be worse quality, as Disney is known to not care a bunch about that stuff.
I hope I’m wrong though, and it will become the best version available. Same for the Ewok movies and cartoons. I loved Lucasfilm’s work on the 4K versions of the movies, so it could be just as good.

Genndy Wars was just released on Disney+ today. However, from my analysis, it is just a straight upload of the DVD version with no enhancements or upgrades.

Not surprising though: Disney hasn’t been investing much regarding Star Wars restoration catalogue. Lucas Original Hexalogy as released in 2019 was already in the work when they bought Lucasfilm for example.
But it’s OK, the 4K version tackled by Tackel is good enough, even tough there still is this audio track issue of the volume 2 5.1 track missing.

Really? Let me check the latest version you uploaded on the spleen but I clearly remember the 5.1 track was in fact a 2.0 track.

Really? Let me check the latest version you uploaded on the spleen but I clearly remember the 5.1 track was in fact a 2.0 track.
I have never uploaded my version to Spleen. Only MEGA, unless someone uploaded mine for me.
