OCP, TR47, Rikter, there have been a few Pieces of Shit here selling in the past, but it seems no one here now does this.

Where can one get download links to these films?

Pretty sure BE and RTJ are on fanedit.info.

This one isn't done yet.

Four years ago OCP's list was AMAZING. Probably still is.

At that time I paid him for "Deleted Magic" and a KCCI disc of "The Star Wars Holiday Special". I was young(er) and foolish. I got what I needed even though I recognized the less-than-legal arrangement. (But I didn't pay extra for a case and insert for "Deleted Magic".)

Sadly he and others fill a *perceived* vacuum for people who don't know there are other avenues. A number of people on these forums have been kind enough to mail me their discs. Others have sent me download links. One person was generous enough to RE-UPLOAD his project when I could not find it anywhere.

It's a pity that there can't be more education about options. But restrictions are in place for some very good reasons.

Same thing happens with a couple of people on eBay I know of who buy readily available CDs for $15 then sell them for $40 saying they're RARE! (yes, they use caps) It's legal in their case, but everyone who knows about them hates them anyway.

I haven't contributed but feel free to put in the credits if it will help with publicity. ;-)

(jokes aside, very much looking forward to this)

I would love to get hold of some ADigitalMan Extended Editions if anyone can help out. Monty Python's Life Of Brian, Love Actually Bloated and Flatulent. Ta!

Don't worry, the eight kind fellas that donated are recorded on my iphone, along with their addresses. You and my QC team will be receiving a DVD or download (I haven't decided yet) a week before everyone else.

Thanks

Looking forward to seeing this. Haven't posted on one of your threads before, Jambe, but have been a fan of both your other deconstructions since long before I was a member here. Building Empire, along with Deleted Magic were among the first things I ever heard about on these forums and subsequently downloaded.

It's seriously shitty that OCP is selling other people's work AS WELL as his own.

I can understand it turning up on ebay and stuff. There are a lot of opportunistic sellers on there that'll do anything to earn a few quid off someone else's hard work, but Garrett should know better!

I've just been reading through this whole thread, just in case I missed something. Wow, what a lot of ups and downs! Sorry for all of the unfulfilled promises. But I hope you understand that life comes first.

UPDATE

My QC team have all got back to me and by wednesday next week, I hope to have the editing finished. I will then remove the Preliminary Versions from youtube. The final version will be about 30% different to these prelim versions.

The menu is complete so that shouldn't take long to implement. I need to collate the DVD extras and render those. The DVD creation process is what takes the time. Rendering the final video files takes an age and if there's a error or a mistake shows up, you hav to start again from the beginning.

So far the DVD will consist of:

- Ralph McQuarrie Menu (as with BE and RTJ)

- Main Star Wars Begins Feature

Special Features

- Original concept crawl (by none and sluggo) with Korngold music

- Trash Compactor Scene with isolated score

- Binary sunset scene with alternate score (yes, I've done something a little different with this in the main feature)

- Star Wars Begins trailer

- My People Vs GL Interviews as an Easter Egg (possibly not)

Thanks for your continued patience and enthusiasm for the project. My life has changed an extraordinary amount (in the right direction) since I started doing this. Thanks for all your suggestions and help throughout. The sense of community we have here is fantastic.

Will there be NTSC and PAL versions, as there were with BE and RTJ?

There were?

...

...

My head hurts just trying to think about this again.

(I think someone did NTSC conversions)

Author

It will be PAL. If anyone wants to do an NTSC conversion I am sure some of our American cousins will appreciate it.

As I've said before, NTSC is your pal.

*facepalm*

I can't ever get past the voices on PAL.  It's just not what I'm used to.

Yeah, I'm tempted to learn how to convert stuff to NTSC so I can do it with the complete series of "The Tick", which is only available in PAL format. I mean, it's nice to have all of it, but hearing it in a higher pitch isn't so nice. :p Wouldn't matter if it was my first time hearing it, but it's not.
