Star Wars - Battlefront II - Journal of the 501st

Star Wars Battlefront II, released by Lucasarts in 2005, is the sequel to the best-selling Star Wars game of all time. It charts the progress of the legendary 501st Imperial Stormtrooper Squad, also known as "Vader's Fist", from their first skirmish at Geonosis, right through to the events of the original trilogy. This DVD compiles all the cutscenes into one movie.

Those of you familiar with my work should know the drill by now. This has been captured from the Playstation 2 game via a DVD recorder, edited in Womble, and authored with DVDLab Pro.

Since the main feature is only just over half hour long, I have filled the disc with as many related special features as I could find. These include:
Battlefront: - Trailer 1
- Trailer 2
- TV Spot
- Imperial Recruitment Video
Battlefront II: - Trailer 1
- Trailer 2 (no sound, unfortunately)
- Developer Interview
- Clash Of The Heroes
- PSP Trailer
Also included in the special features is a virtual Tour Of The Galaxy. Nows your chance to visit 16 planets in a galaxy far, far away.

As usual, hope you all enjoy, and please seed for as long as you can.

Many thanks to meedermow and Russs15 for quality control and seeding offers...cheers guys.

This should, if I've done my job right, be available now on both demonoid and myspleen.....enjoy

This Tour of the Galaxy feature is pretty amazing and the rest if the DVD is pretty good too.

Have you thought about doing an expanded DVD of this using actual film footage?? I think it would make a bloody good release.

I did toy with the idea, but I figured I'd leave the footage from the game as it was, rather that do a Battlefront Special Edition .

And cheers for the seeding on the spleen mate, yr a good 'un

Tis a pleasure.

Things are very slow on MySpleen but there is plenty of activity on Demonoid.

I have to admit that I was not sure how the dual tracker thing would work but it does seem OK - apart from having to upload the thing twice of course!!!

none offered in the 3 hours that its been up. I sometimes think some people collect the covers more than they collect the films

In all honesty, covers aren't my field of expertise, but feel to give it a try yourself and see what you can come up with

Does anyone out there have any feedback - good or bad - on this now that there are 60 or so downloads completed.

Cool. i have to say that i was surprised to see some good acting from Temurra here. i'd have never known it just by his performance in the PT. He'd have been great under a better director I guess. In fact, these journals are more interesting, better written, just better than the entire Prequel Trilogy and maintain the essence of the OT. Tragic how that's not what Lucas could accomplish but some videogame makers could.

Well, it seems once more that a project of mine is downloaded numerous times with little or no feedback. I don't know why I bother

Having uploaded over 23.5Gb of this, I was beginning to ask the same question myself!!

However, do not let that get you down and please carry on doing what you do so well.

Personally, I cannot wait for your Clones and Phantom Revealed and possibly the revised Sith Revealed that you have hinted at too.

I love it! I couldnt finish the game because I was bored. And my old video card was not showing the cut-scenes. No need to play anymore, just sit back and watch the dvd. I will share it around with friends at work. Nice menus and bonus. I will be sharing it for couple of weeks since I really believe in that one. I looked yesterday for pictures that I could use for a cover.

I always said Lucasarts should put up together a set of dvds with all the animations of their previous games and soundtracks.

Can't wait to download this! I'm a member of the 501st, it was awesome of Lucasfilm to pay homage to the group by making the 501st Legion part of the Star Wars canon

Well I've only played the vobs and did see the part after the credits, with the interview, trailers. If those are the special features, then I guess I have. The interview was interesting, brought me back to before the game came out and I was anticapating its release.

Thanks for editing the scenes together as one. It's nice to see again after playing the game. These are probably the best scenes from any videogame currently on earth.

Until a Bounty Hunter DVD comes out that is. Although I am very proud of my '24' DVD. Plus I've still got Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, and The Clone Wars (recently won on ebay) to attempt.
