Here is the next clip

Same as before as far as color grade to match archive photos

added music from 2 sources on Youtube where fans added music to this clip. I nice add I found and I think others have tried it is music inside Tosche station so they would be listening to some type of background space music that might have playing while hanging out…also there are some small radio drama bits snuck in too. After doing this I realized I need to have the treadwell scene now for Version 1 as it may not make sense without… so that is next and I have already started a complete redo with new tools… Hopefully next on that one and will still be on track for May Version 1 realse still. I will get back to small tweaks on the others after I finish treadwell.

Do you mean maybe the background space “youngster” music playing in the tosche hangout + some sounds from the space air hocky table etc.? Not understanding the noise you mean, but when I get to separating the voices from background music (center channel voices, surround sound for ambient etc., than yes it may spread things out more. Right now all in stereo and together.LMK if this is the part you mean or other. I did leave the footsteps and some original wind in the beginning that I will probably clean-up on a 5.1 mix later…if that is the part? (before inside?). Thanks for your feedback

Love the beautiful blue skies. Tatooine is prettier than it has any right to be. Gone is the overcast grey.

Does this lean into some of the CGI shots that Adywan made for his old version? I liked those. IMO my dream version of the movie was to have Adywans old CGI shots, the George Lucas CGI shots, and SC38, and make a new “prequelized” version of ANH. I love the old special effects best, 1977, but I want a version full of the CGI stuff Lucas and fans have made, to have a version that fits in with the greater series.

Also, a deleted scene that is my dream to see, though we only have poor quality is “This Sith Lord”. Rogue One tie in and mention of the word “Sith” in ANH. Hope we get a better copy one day.

based on adywans version so yes all his enhanced FX, but upscaled to HD
and yes the “sith lord” extended board room scene with clean audio is already done and will be included in the version 1

I am working on treadwell and luke scene and then once finished will post the full frame of that and the full luke with friends scene. Holiday break coming up here, so will have a day to maybe catch up and and then a few days with family and off from editing, but It will get there…no worries…will definately post the link for 'em

no worries…yep will be revisiting the audio with a 5.1 track and will balance the background music with vocals…hard to sometimes gauge that when editing as are doing with just standard stereo speakers and sometimes not very loud when just at my desk…so will address audio levels and separation in due time 😃

ok…so this took forever and I was on vacation a week and a half so that delayed it some… but finally made progress. The Treadwell and Luke scene edit is somewhat a little different than shot by shot of the deleted, plus this one has always been a challenge to fit in with that awsome opening scene. I think this works though…bout as good as it can get…hopefully it flows well. as far as the scene, the orginal is kind of boring so I had to improve a little, audio is radio drama and original and the color grade is of course in-line with the other deleted/color from adywan or BLU etc. …not a big fan of the yellowish color tint so I think this fits well with the finished film scenes. Music added as well to help it out… Anyway here it is…moving on next to some edits on the homestead and then off the finish the extended cantina which is a big one

Wow this is incredible! The added shots fit in great, so does the Radio Drama audio. And of course the clean up of the footage itself is just amazing! Excited to see more from this, no matter how long it takes!

I’m not sure how I’ve missed this version as it looks like exactly the sort of version I’d want to see. I’m cooler on the SC38 material than most as I’ve never seen a cut of it that looks in any way like it fits, but it’s not exactly a deal breaker. On the other side, the restoration of these deleted scenes are some of the best I’ve seen considering the starting quality. And keeping as much SE material as possible is also good, with ANH I can’t think of a single change that wasn’t neutral or an improvement on the original (except those stupid extra rocks around R2 in from the Blue Ray!).

The new CGI overhead shot of the SD really helps the transition to the restored deleted scene.

Probably the best edit I’ve seen so far of the Luke Tatooine material.

Really good stuff. Do you also have the full scene ready for Tosche Station (when Luke meets his friends inside the station first and then continues to talk outside) or is the scene not ready for release yet? 🤔

Ha someone was just PM me on that 😃…yea that one is not uploaded yet as I was thinking about trying to get V1 done in the next 5-6 month and may be easier to post that so folks have everything + post what I have posted is 2.0 channel for the deleted and audio is the last thing I do so holding off to finish all Sept/Oct. and then do a spot check and audio check.

If enough people show interest here I can finish up to the cantina (but before they meet Han)

ANH V1 up to cantina meeting with Han ETA: 5/30/25

and post V1 up to that. That would give you all with 5.1 up to that point and you could even splice it into your current

…Are others here interested in ANH-X V1 (Act 1) sooner than later?

This would be the first 1/3 of ANH-X…never thought of doing it this way but I could upload and it might be easier than posting scenes ala carte.
