I beg to differ, it's one of the nicest looking LD transfers I've seen.
I remember seeing the stills posted above with the flaws, they probably even dissuaded me from checking this out earlier. I'm glad I finally decided to check it out, it looks great.

Uhmm, yeah I'm not a big fan of the SE. Added grain often bugs me too. Those shots do look pretty amazing though.
I think What I like about your OUT 2.0 is your lack of additional processing / color correction. The lighter DVNR on the pal LD's probably helps too. Also the fact that you capture a really great image with your gear.
A transfer of the Technidisc using gear like yours with no processing or color correction would be awesome. I love the sharper film look it has, scratches and all. I also prefer the more vibrant color over the whiter slightly muted color of the other LD's / GOUT.
My favorite sources out there now are Puggo's 16mm and msycamore's Technidisc. For Star Wars a non DVNR film look just feels right to me.
