Any info from oldest VHS and BETAMAX PAL recordings? Old exRental/Retail releases only use the source? Or and old TV-recordings?? Likely good colours from SAT1 TV-premiere taken from 1990 or 1992 years.
Basic info
I started this project on May 2024. This project uses multiple sources from 1977-1987. The movie is the unaltered 1977 movie but the most important part here is the colour. I have used the oldest VHS and Betamax tape footage to see what the colours looked like, and then put those colours into the film. Currently the first version is available. I appreciate all feedback. You can get those via PMs, just make sure you have official access to watching an official version.
Technical info
File size: around 1,7 GB
Audio mix: stereo (2 speakers)
Format: MP4 (.mp4)
Sources: multiple widescreen sources, mostly PAL sources. Also the 2006 limited version (or GOUT) is included.
Resolution: 480p
Aspect ratio: 4:3 letterbox (can be cropped to 2.39:1 or 2.35:1)
That’s all I have to say as of now.

Well, the oldest VHS and Betamax tapes of Star Wars were from around 1982. I used clips taken from those VHS tapes and edited the colours to look identical. there might be some TV recordings as well.
