TN1’s working on a restoration of a 16mm print of “The Making of Star Wars”, but as for right now there’s only an upscale version available. They’re also working on a 16mm print of “SPFX: The Empire Strikes Back.”

Any idea if they could use more than one print of those? Asking for a friend…
Where were you in '77?

I just scrolled/skimmed through the forum to see what they had available other than just the movies, so all I know is that both are being worked on.

Back in 1975, SW costume designer John Mollo designed an early version of the Imperial logo, based on the Starfleet/Enterprise arrowhead in Star Trek.
It was meant to suggest a Federation that had become corrupt and turned into an Empire.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
SW Universe = Mirror Universe confirmed?
If only we could figure out how to get to the non-mirror universe…

Found these on imgur, by ‘starwarsmakingof’, and thought I’d share on here:

Never look into the business end of a lightsaber! 😄
And I never noticed before that Luke’s sandgoggles resemble those worn by Naboo starfighter pilots in TPM.

Hey, is that the same guy who played the German mechanic in Raiders and the big tough baddie in Temple of Doom?
Here’s some rarely seen images from when they were filming the scene where the Jawas carry R2 to the Sandcrawler. I’m pretty sure this was all just for one shot, the one with the matte painting of the crawler. Apparently this was filmed fairly last-minute in the film’s production, in Death Valley CA rather than Tunisia.

You’re thinking of Pat Roach. The man of above is Peter Diamond.
^cool, thanks.
Also, I dunno about last minute, but a LOT of the Tatooine exterior shots (the establishing shot of mos eisely, all of R2 and the Jawas in the canyons) were filmed in Death Valley. If you use a little google-fu you can find guides that will help you locate exact locations for specific shots. My family and I did a little of that on a trip there several years ago and it was a lot of fun!
Here’s a really clear view of that silly cup-hand that they added to so many of the Tatooine aliens before they decided to hide it in the edit.
Also, I always forget how violent this scene really was before they decided to just show the severed arm.

I found an imgur album with a whole lot of BTS photos, however very many of them have already been posted, but I’ll try to post the most interesting ones that haven’t.
