Capturing quicktime streams?

I'm trying to save an online short for a friend who is stuck with dialup, but the trialware stuff I've used so far either doesn't work, or saves a file that is unwatchable crap. Any ideas?

I captured the file using Quictime Pro, but it want play on any software, not even in Media player Cassic or in VLC Player. Sorry I couldn't be of any use, but I don't no any other software to capture it with that will work.

You can try using screen capturing software like Camtasia. I captured a quicktime video with it once. You just select what area of the screen you want to capture and at what framerate. It takes a fast computer to be able to capture without dropped frames though, if I remember correctly.
