Okay, so I have a friend that can get me into the Star Tours at the California disneyland two weeks before it officially opens. Don’t ask how we’re gonna do it (She works there and was able to get tickets.) I’ll be sure to give you guys all the exclusive deets here.

I’ll confirm/deny all the rumors like if there’s gonna be twelve different rides and if they’re still going to have the original.

Oh man that's awesome! My friend and I were there at Disneyworld the night they decommissioned it after Celebration V, we were actually on the very last ride of the night before they shut down. They confirmed at Celebration V that there are going to be multiple stops, I thought they had actually announced all the destinations there but since then they've revealed a few more. In addition, Anthony Daniels had this to say on Twitter the other day:

Come fly Star Tours 52 times to get the full story. Plus Easter eggs!

I am hoping they'll keep the original in the rotation, though with a new ship and captain I don't know how that'd work.

I hate Disney World...

There is no lingerie in space…

They actually didn't shut it down until a few more weeks after that. I made a quick trip down there the week after Celebration V so I could ride it one more time (ok, 3 more) before it potentially went away forever. It was nice to savor one last trip to endor and say farewell to the real Star Tours, so to speak.

Then we went to Universal & got totally blown away by the new Harry Potter ride. That thing is impressive!

My Grad Nite at Disneyland is 3 days after it opens, but the security is fucking ridiculous and they close all the dark rides those nights (they literally won't even let you wear a hat - what is this, the '70s?) HOWEVER, my teacher told me previously Star Tours was open on Grad Nite so maybe that's the exception to the rule.

edit: uhm, ew? C-3PO's your pilot? Jesus. That Ace character Lucas didn't allow sounded much more interesting.
