Anything OST wise your listening to right now? I'm jammin to the Zorro OST--pretty damn good music---puts you in the perfect mood to run around in a cape and hat with a sword jumping off roof tops---hehe
I love OST's,the one I am jammin to now is "Conan The Barbarian By Basil Poledouris" I also like 300 and Gladiator,Legend(Tangerine Dream version) Halloween,Super Castlevanis IV,and a shitload more.
I hope anyone with some taste for film music will agree with me that "Pirates of the Caribbean" contains some of the most unoriginal music composed to date. Written by 15 (15!!!) composers collectively known as "Media Ventures" under supervision by Hans Zimmer (a great composer by himself). The only reason it's so popular is because millions of kids who never listen to film score drew in to the hype and placed this stupid thing on the top of the charts. For all you GLADIATOR soundtrack owners... listen in on "The Battle" (Track 3 I think). And you will most likely hear something unmistakably similar to the "Pirates" theme. (I'm not sure about that though, because I have a different kind of soundtrack containing a bit more music from Gladiator).
The "Sin City" soundtrack is kinda nifty. Nothing great, but some cool tracks on it.
I've got a bunch of John Williams scores (Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy, E.T., etc.), more classical scores, and some modern soundtracks (Reservoir Dogs has one hell of a soundtrack.)

LISTEN TO BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS AND STAR TREK II AS THEY WERE BOTH COMPOSED BY JAMES HORNER. THEY SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE.
I think i'll settle down to Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman tonight. I love this guy.
Media Ventures is a joke and puts itself to shame compared to singular composers or maybe a few collaborating ones that come up with much more interesting and original things. Hans Zimmer by himself is hit and miss to me. The Lion King and Gladiator scores are amazing IMO.
Tomorrow I plan a nice Star Wars OST session well partaking in a certain herbal activity.
The Abyss Jurassic Park Alien Total Recall Solaris Hook AVP - shitty movie, great soundtrack Van Helsing - shitty movie, great soundtrack 300 - one of the best damn scores I have ever heard Goonies - Score (Not the soundtrack) Stand By Me Braveheart LOTR trilogy Edward Scissorhands Last of the Mohicans Dark City Legend (Tangerine Dream score) Batman Returns: Original Motion Picture Score A.I. Artificial Intelligence Stargate The Crow Hackers
Also Innerspace - this one was kinda costly to buy
For the last 3 months my little one has been going to sleep listening to the Star Wars original trilogy soundtrack. He loves it, especially when reading him his bedtime story's (or should I say I love it when reading him the same, same story's)
I'll have to find the PT soundtracks, for a pleasant change.
I finally found a torrent for the limited edition Dark Crystal soundtrack. I don't have the $80ish to buy it on eBay or anything and it's one of the most interesting scores I've ever heard. The only other way I could here this is by getting the vinyl record from the 80s (don't have a record player so that doesn't help) or spend regular price on a rather low quality bootleg of the soundtrack, if I can even find it.
Or pop in the DVD with isolated score...but that doesn't have the concert arrangements and deleted cues this limited release had. I'm so happy.

I'm going to check that one out now. I have the dvd that has a 5.1 isolated score on it. Does this torrent have it in stereo and mp3 or lossless??
it's 256kbps mp3, stereo...and it sounds excellent. I doubt I'll ever get my hands on the real thing or a lossless copy anytime soon so this will do.
Side note: I don't know how many Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad fans (the man is incredible if ur into metal/progressive rock) float around this board...but I just noticed that he seems to have purposefully used vocal melodies in the song "Skeksis" that match the main theme's melody. I don't know anyone else that's made that connection and it makes me feel special.
I've uploaded it at Kerrazy Torrents in the general "Music Releases" section....all you gotta do is sign up and search for it.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
